When I enter firefox fullscreen and mouseover the top-edge, the dropdown toolbar/tabs will push the whole website down. Is there a way to alter the default behavior of the toolbar/tabs dropdown such that instead of taking up space and push down the website, just overlay the viewing pane and keep the page unchanged?

Please see attached screenshot. I have been logging onto my Online Banking with Nat West and when I log out I am now getting the message Firefox cannot open this Page. I should see the Nat West page again straight away showing I have logged out of my Online Banking. The message refers to a security issue that a website has embedded onto the Nat West website.

When I use Safari the message does not appear which indicates to me it is a Firefox issue.

I am not certain what I should do to resolve this issue is this a Firefox issue or Nat West issue or a problem with my Mac computer.

Please can you advise me what I should do next to resolve the issue.

Thank you

Greetings, Lately at v104 onwards the Youtube video sound is muffled, I've tried several solutions that are frequently the source of issue like hardware issue(tried a pair of brand new headphones), volume mixer is at the same level of system and everything else other than Firefox sounds reasonably loud, driver reinstallation, removed cache and preference etc.

Last I checked with other browsers for instance Chrome and Edge which are Chromium based and compared both with the same videos but they do not have this issue, so I can confidently say this is Firefox's issue. Hopefully this can be solved.

PS: I did saw one of the older bug tracker forum 3 years ago did mention something like force video to run a different encoder that isn't AV01 in about:config , I did not attempt it as I found it uncomfortable to edit and potentially break my browser.

I see others have asked this question, but Firefox responders suggest solutions which have nothing to do with the problem. The problem isn't with Wix or website designers who use this service.

There is no slowness problem using Wix in the Chrome or Edge browsers. This means the problem is with the Firefox browser.

I have never had this slowness problem with Wix before recently, within the last month or so.

I ask you to consider that a recent Firefox update may be at fault.

Please fix this problem. I much prefer to use Firefox as my browser, but if I have to switch to Chrome to use Wix, which plays a significant part in my work, I might as well change over to Chrome completely. That would be a shame, since I've been a Firefox user for many years.

If my cursor is in the bottom left of my screen on a web page I cannot click, scroll, or access any functions on the web page. If I move the cursor down and bring up the hidden windows ribbon I can click on any of those features so this issue is limited to only web pages. If I make the web page smaller and move the bottom left corner of the web page to the center of my computer screen then I can click and access other cursor functions. Any insight on fixing the issues is much appreciated!

I have a 25Mhz internet connection and my desktop is connected via WiFi. I am running Windows 10.

When I load Firefox and open a couple of web pages the internet connection speed as measured by Speedtest is steady around 25MHz. However after 5 or 10 minutes the speed drops to a much lower leve. The Speedtest display shows 25Mhz for a few seconds then drops to a low level – a different level on each test. The problem does not seem to be affected by what web pages I open.

Other applications in Windows 10 are also affected by the speed drop but if I close Firefox then other applications regain full speed. If I then re-load Firefox the same thing happens, initially full speed that after a few minutes the speed drops.

I have tried a different WiFi hardware and drivers but the problem still occurs.

Hello, I have noticed that the slowest way to download anything on my PC is through a browser, what I mean by that is when I download a game for example through steam I the download speed is between 200 to 350 Mb/s (25 to 44 MB/s) but when I am downloading anything using the browser the maximum I get is 20 Mb/s (2.5 MB/s), so I was wondering, is there any way to make it faster and just not less than 10% of my internet speed?

Since the last win 10 up grade the Firefox browser is using all RAM and CPu availability.

I can type 2, twenty words sentences before typing starts on the screen and then it is 1 letter at a time. IT is not Kaspersky internet security , and there is no problem if i use Google Chrome.
Every indication is, that Microsoft has found a way to mess up the Firefox browser through the Google search engine, to make the Firefox use every bit of the ram and CPU to make consumers use the Google chrome browser.
It would be much appreciated if the program writers can find exactly what has happened and if what I suspect is the case, update Firefox with a patch

Using a MacBook Pro 2018 with macOS 12.6.1 and Firefox 104.0.2.

Lately, while going to various site, one such s Amazon and many others, I receive the following message:

Unable to connect

An error occurred during a connection to www.amazon.com.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

All three of these suggestions DO NOT WORK! I can go to many other sites without any problems. These “Unable to connect” site do connect using Safari and Google WHY not Firefox? I’ve dropped these other browsers years ago but it’s beginning to look like I’ll have to drop Firefox. Also, just to go to Firefox “Submit Feedback” or Firefox “Help”, the same thing happened, see above!

I need help and/or BETTER suggestions!

Hello,

After installing Firefox (103.0.2) on a clean install of Manjaro (21.3.7) Gnome (42.4), I started noticing that mouse hover effects such as highlighted tabs, UI of a video-player appearing etc. are delayed after my PC exits hibernation (I am not sure if that is the only cause and if that really IS the cause). Weirdly enough the select menu I used to answer the "Which topic best describes your question?" question to create this post experiences no delay in highlighting the hovered element. Relaunching Firefox fixes this issue temporarily.

To be clear this is no performance issue since everything except mouse hover related interactions are fluid.

Thanks for helping out

I'm using Asus X505ZA with AMD Ryzen 3 2200U with Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx, 12GB DDR4 RAM, 240GB M2 SSD, 1TB HDD. And also I use several addons in my firefox but only 3 (ABP, YoutubeAdBlock & Kaspersky Web Safer) is active. I'm using firefox since 2005 until now. IDK what the problem with my firefox, I never found bad issues like this before. When I try to start firefox suddenly my laptop is turnoff automatically & I try to start again but now I saw on task bar manager firefox make a 100% CPU usage and once again it shut it down the Laptop. This happens often, I wish I know what the heck is going on! But now I got another issue when starting firefox, that say "Error: Platform version '104.0.2' is not compatible with...", I'd love to share the SS if you don't mind.

I'm currently experiencing difficulties with the Twitch video player. After typing a message of a certain length, between 3-4 lines, the video player starts moving back and forth in time with the cursor and stops when the cursor stops. I have no idea what causes it. I've turned off all my addons, reset Firefox, and messed around with settings. the only thing that stops it is running troubleshoot mode, but i don't know what is being changed to fix the issue.
