I'm writing because I’ve encountered an issue with the tab groups feature in Firefox.

Some time ago, after a browser update, I noticed a new feature that allowed me to group tabs thematically — I could name each group (e.g., "Study", "Work"), choose a color for it, and save and close groups to reopen them later. I found it very useful and used it a lot.

Last night, I decided to declutter my browser and closed several tab groups using the built-in menu. A bit later, I shut down my computer, but perhaps too quickly. This morning, when I turned my computer back on, Firefox was very slow to start. After a restart, everything seemed to work fine again, and the open tabs were restored.

However, all my previously saved (but temporarily closed) tab groups disappeared. In the tab group menu, I can now only see the ones currently open. I’ve searched through all the settings and history but cannot find any way to restore the missing groups.

Is there any way to recover the tab groups that I had previously saved and closed?

Hi, all of a sudden today, firefox has not worked properly, initally i thought it was my router, but upon trying google chrome, i can confirm its firefox not working as intended. I cant watch any youtube vids, they just sit on a loading circle, facebook wont load and various other websites wont load. Ive tried clearing cache/cookies etc, tried resetting my pc, nothing is working?

Mozilla needs to come up with a permanent solution to this issue. I know that Google probably started it by somehow changing YouTube, but Mozilla needs to react and come up with a solution.

I recently opened Firefox to see a new flagged warning under my toolbar that says "The security sandbox is disabled. Your configuration is unsupported and less secure."

I have gone into about:config and adjusted every security.sandbox element to see if that would change anything; it did not.

I am running on Windows 11 Home so I cannot install or properly run Windows Sandbox.

I would either like a solution to enable the sandbox once again, or just remove the notification from the toolbar.

I recently added ChatGPT as a search engine option. I tried to use the voice interface to simply ask the question instead of typing it out. An error message quickly appeared that stated "To use voice mode, you'll need to enable your microphone and try again." I could not find a way to grant this permission. The only setting mentioning "permissions" was in privacy & security. When I click on "settings" I receive the following message showing websites which have asked for permission so that I could choose to grant it or not, but, what it does not provide is a way for me to grant spontaneously if I choose to. ChatGPT has not requested permission so how do I, without a request from a site, choose to grant them permission to access and use the mic on the laptop so that I can simply talk to it?

I'm afraid I picked up malware despite Sophos due to this message upon routine searches, e.g. "Where's the nearest pet store". Hello. i noticed that my shortcuts are missing. i went to settings to check if it's enabled (check mark) and it is in fact enabled. tried to reset my computer and the shortcuts are still not there. on the main firefox page there is actually no shortcut icons on there...at all. all of the options in settings work with the exception (of course) the shortcuts. i would like to know why this is happening...thx

I updated to Firefox 141.0 and now Google Maps is not working correctly. When I look for directions the map does not show the route. If I go to street view I get a black screen. Google maps is working fine on Edge or Google on the same pc.

I recently wiped & reloaded my computer. Multi-Account containers re-installed successfully & I see all my containers. The issue is with sign-in to Reddit.com website. If I try to login using a container, I get invalid username or password error. If I login without using a container, it's fine. I am copy/pasting my account info. I tried different containers; same issue. Tried creating a new container; same issue. Try again without using a container; login to Reddit is successful.

Firefox had been a safe haven for anti-AI, and used to be my go-to search engine. If this AI bullshit continues, no one will respect or use the browser. Stop implementing AI garbage that steals data
