Hi, I have been using firefox for many years and never showed me an UAC popup requiring permissions to update firefox as soon as i clicked the firefox icon in the taskbar. Today suddenly required it. I am administrator in windows 10, and have automatic updates enabled as always. I am using 125.0.3 (64-bit) version. This could be a bug or a virus? i am worried that could have given permission to a virus to install something else when i pressed the firefox icon.

Asking again. Support won't help. Volunteers won't help.

IS THERE A SECURITY SETTING I NEED TO CHANGE TO ACCESS MY BANK????????????????????

Why you create Mozilla account with sync, if I can't use profile which I saved on my old PC. I change my PC and now I can't use my open tabs as needed, I need to open each tab one by one. Why ??? Why I can't use saved profile on my new PC ??????

Well, since I changed to a new computer with Win 11, videos on Facebook don't play right. They are videos that are posted by various people and real entities. They are not smooth. They start to play and immediately pause then jump forward then pause and jump forward. If I copy the link and go to Chrome, paste the link and play the videos, they are normal Never did that on my old computer. Any ideas why the videos don't play normal?

I used to have no problem opening messages.google.com/web/conversations to link my messages to my Pixel phone. Just recently the site will not open in Firefox. Not an error message, it just won't open the page.

Windows 10. Weird glitch.

If I use Wondershare UniConverter's downloader function to download a video, as soon as the download starts, all Firefox open windows close. This is a recent thing, the last couple of weeks or so. I have reinstalled Firefox and UniConverter. The first time I tried it after reinstalling UniConverter, all was well. But the same issue has shown up again. I have tried rebooting my PC to no effect.

Any bright ideas welcome!

A bit desperate here. Windows crashed with no chance of repairing the installation. Hard drive And all files on it are accessible. Firefox had thousands of bookmarks for a very important project.

There seems to be no Firefox profile on the drive. Searched in hidden folders as well. Certainly not where it’s supposed to be: …\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

Search for all files on the drive, but there seems to be no SQLITE or JSON files related to Firefox.

Not even a folder anywhere in the drive called Mozilla or Firefox or Profiles or Profile (at least not in relation to Firefox).

There’s no file called places.sqlite or bookmarkbackups anywhere on the drive.

The drive itself seems to be in a good condition and all other files are there and accessible. The file system doesn’t seem to be corrupt And man thousands of bookmarks were there before windows crashed.

Also checked places in \Roaming\ Just in case, as sometimes it could be found there for some installations.

Nothing found anywhere so far. Seems like running out of options.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I have Mac, Windows, and Linux boxes. All show connected to Firefox Sync, however, bookmarks etc are only actually in sync between Windows and Linux. I've tried logging out on all devices, resetting passwords, reinstalling FF on the Mac. Can't seem to get it to work.

Just a short time ago Version 125.0.3 downloaded. Since then I cannot open Youtube without it crashing. When I ask it to restore the tab (one of 2 choices offered, it crashes again. After 4 or 5 times I close the tab and switch to another browser. I shut off the one extension I had running. That fixed nothing. I looks like my 2019 iMac is too old and I need to go back to an earlier version.

Hello there, since of late when I try to Google search something through Firefox browser I always get this message: ".....Our systems have detected unusual traffic from your computer network. This page checks to see if it's really you sending the requests, and not a robot...." So I did the test which took me through millions of tests, and finally gave me the search results. I though this was occasional one off thing but to my horror, no! It does always request CAPTCHA test now. I wonder whether Google doing this purposely to discourage Firefox engine search use and encourage to use Chrome instead - which I found no issues with at all! I use VPN of course but how come Chrome does not bar me while VPN is on? Anybody else found this issue? Thank you!

Hello, How can we disable QUIC with the latest ADMX or via registry entry on Windows 10. I see not settings under ADMX that can assist in doing so. I dont mind implementing a registry entry in GPO as well.

When accessing my site (in attachment to avoid indexing), Firefox blocks with a "Possible security risk" interstitial. DoH requests to the configured https://dns.google/dns-query service work from an external application on the same machine as the browser, but about:networking#dnslookuptool reports the host being unknown.

After the latest update (Monday) my Lastpass extension icon disappeared from the extension toolbar. It was still listed in the Add-ons and themes page. How do I get it visible again? I've tried to right click the Lasspass icon but "pin it" does not appear. I've deleted the extension, rebooted and reinstalled with no difference.

How can I sign in to Netaddress with the new Firefox update?

Windows 10 professional for workstations Firefox build 126.0

My browser auto updated today and after the refresh I found that the history under the address bar has been broken. It now displays only in part and over top of the address bar itself which as you can imagine is unusable. See image attached.

I entered troubleshoot mode and the problem went away. So I disabled all my extensions and addons, but the problem persists (when not in trouble shoot mode)

Any idea what could be causing this? It is hampering my ability to do my job.

I am trying to switch from Google to Firefox, but I still use my Google email. I uploaded my contacts from Google to Firefox, but I am trying to edit my own contact info in Gmail contacts, but when I click the edit button, nothing happens. Do I need to edit it in Firefox, and will that edit migrate back to Gmail? Why can't I edit it in my Gmail contacts (in the Gmail right-hand toolbar), and it will update my Firefox contacts automatically?

If you are going to require "A" file type, fucking say what type it has to be and provide a converter or screenshot tool! I Tried .Docx and PDF. Word does not save to PNG or JPEG so they are not an option.

AT THIS POINT, I AM STRONGLY RECONSIDERING SWITCHING FIREFOX!!!!!!
