For years it was in English which is selected as the only preferred language in the settings, so its a very recent language phenomenon. What is wrong? It has started a couple months ago and I have been unable to get rid of this problem even by re-installing the browser.

However, when I select the option in the context menu, then revisit the setting, the check box remains unchecked.
