Since I upgraded from FF128-esr to FF140-esr I always get the "Firefox is being updated by another instance" This is really driving me crazy, as I checked / did / .... everything (and even more) I found on the internet related to that.

Nothing helps !

Creating and using a new default profile didn't help

Finally I ended up uninstalling FF completely (making sure no -zero- leftovers remained in ProgramFiles, AppData a.s.o.), and reinstalled FF140.7.0-esr freshly. After installation I started FF immediately with the created default profile (only existing one) --> SAME THING : "Firefox is being updated by another instance"

And this is really a FF140 thing, when I go back to FF128, on the same computer, same profiles, ...., the problem is gone.

I would like to know in detail what checks are really done by FF to decide to give that "Firefox is being updated by another instance"

When I add sites for exceptions, why isn't this carried with my Firefox account and it shows up in every instance of Firefox when i am signed in? It is a nuisance to keep re-adding them everywhere. Also, when Firefox updates, why do I have to re=enter what I already done. It is a pain.

For some reason the program has stopped saving my passwords, all of my bookmarks are still listed but they are disabled. No autofill. When I manually put in a username and password the program drop down asks me if I want to save it, I reply yes, but it doesn't happen.

See the subject. I've been seeing delays in launching for several months. I've run several windows defender malware checks (full and the one where it runs outside of anything brought up). I've reset firefox. I did all this also because I was seeing random ads from a news site from what they were trying to get me to do was install macafee (but it's malware). While I'm not seeing those ads now and I'm suspicious they can from the news site vs. my browser, I'm very aware of anything trying to capture screen scrapes. I'm even considering changing all my passwords as I'm not sure if anything was captured. This morning, firefox upon launch took a long time. Then it said installing updates. My desktop flashed and firefox launched. I have not installed anything or any addons, extensions, etc. So either this was firefox doing an update it needed or it's something else. I'm on windows 10.

I wish to add an exception to an address which I host locally. I've explored many options which didn't work such as: Adding HTTPS-Only Exception Disabling certain security features

After updating Firefox to a newer version, some websites that previously worked on the older version started displaying **"Page Not Secure"** and **"Page Expired"** errors, preventing them from loading correctly.

Beyond My Experience. As I Bring up Firefox Upper Right Flag Yo Update Firefox. IF I DISMISS, TROUBLE STARTS. FOR NO REASON ACCUWEATHR APPEARS. IF I X Firefox Shuts Down. Instead to Remain Online, I have to Use a Bookmark and Continue. Not in My Bookmarks, How Can I Stop That Annoyance Pop Up. Thanks, Joe

when i open the browser today i noticed that my wallpaper which i've set isn't showing. i tried restarting and refreshing the browser but it didn't work. so i tried to change my wallpaper or see it again by clicking customize, but i only saw that i have allowed my wallpaper, but no picture or another option was shown.

i really need this colour switch pls. my firefox kept crashing with no explanation (maybe some extension i had, then deleted when the crashes began) so i had to reset the whole thing. now the appearance has changed. i had put back my background picture, witch was fine with me, but the text was black instead of white like it used to. and it makes me use firefox less. i think its something to do with the website contrast but I'm not sure.

What have you done to the Settings feature? It's a mess with those weird little icons on the side. I am just trying to figure out why my tabs keep closing on me. I can have about six tabs open with intention of going back to them, and then..poof.. they disappear. I went into Settings to see what I might have changed but I can't figure this out.

For quite some while now, when I pull up my site history, it doesn't matter what I search, the search returns no matches found.

Yesterday, I visited a site. Today, I pulled up the history (^H) and then proceed to search for a word I knew was in the title of the page because I had printed it and had it in front of me. It was not found. I then searched manually through my history and found the page.

Issues with redirect. A group I am a member of uses Constant Contact. An email is sent with a link to a report. Receive this error:

Server Not Found

Firefox can’t connect to the server at deuaxb4ab.cc.rs6.net. What can you do about it?

I tried to login to Autodesk for some discussion about file retention, etc. I logged in using my user id and password and then Autodesk sent me a code as a two factor identification function. When the page opened the place to enter the code it looked like the image that I have attached. I could not enter the code supplied by Autodesk as FireFox kept trying to get me to do something with email masks. Is there anything I can do to fix it?

I can't log into my Google account using Firefox. Can log in on Chrome using the same device so I don't think the device is the problem. It was fine until about an hour ago. When I attempted to click on a YouTube tab the tab closed. Any attempt to log in redirects me to a Google support page about deleting my cache and cookies. Which I've already done multiple times and I still can't log in.

It is been like 6 or 7 months now since i move to new pc and i been using firefox in this new pc together with other browsers. I am not really using firefox for anything related to google or gmail but just other website that have 0 relation to them. But i have still logged in my main accounts in firefox. It is been twice that once in a while, when i have to check my gmail accounts, all of them disappear and all i see is just sign in page only. There is no log in again or Please log in to this address or that address but straight up fresh page of google sign in page. I still logged back in when it first happened because i heard about the bug that happened with firefox update but now it happen again. It is as if my cookies just vanished but no, other sites still got their own cookies and there is many cache of other website here. other than my google accounts. What is happening here. Is my firefox bugged or something? Should i reinstall and have to relogin everything "again?"

After the last two updates, the **Pseudo-elements** tab in the Browser Console can no longer be closed once it has been opened, and vice versa.
