Every time I go to Fox News, the video at the top of the page drops to the lower right-hand corner. It's an annoyance I've been searching for a way to eliminate. I have pop-ups blocked in preferences and I have a couple of different pop-up blockers, but nothing seems to work. I'm currently using Firefox 114b.09 on a Mac Desktop.

I am using Firefox Developer Edition in a work environment that only saves directories between weekly restarts by explicitly managed rules. As a result of some missing folders from my weekly restarts, I need to sign in to my Firefox account and enable sync each week. Currently my machine retains the %APPDATA%/Mozilla and %LOCALAPPDATA%/Mozilla directories + children.

What other directories are needed by Firefox Developer Edition in Windows to retain the user profile/syncing, et. al.?

I frequently open new tabs by right-clicking the current tab and choosing "New Tab" from the context menu. Naturally, I want to start typing a URL or search term.

But the focus/cursor/caret is nowhere and typing does nothing. I have to click on the address bar, and then I can type.

I'm not using New Tab Override and I have Firefox's new tab set to a blank page.

I tried disabling all my add-ons, but I still had the problem.

I tried setting new tab to the Firefox home page and for a short while I got a cursor in the address bar. But the problem returned after a few hours

Any clues on what might be wrong? Firefox version 120.0.1 (64-bit) on MacOS Ventura 13.5.1. Thanks!

Hello, i've updated the Firefox browser to version 120 and since then polish texts in browser are broken. How can i fix it or restore to previous working browser version?

For the last couple of weeks, whenever I access the finance.yahoo.com/ website, my computer slows to a crawl. I run Activity Monitor to show me FF memory usage has surged to 6.5 GB! I cannot just 'quit' FF, have to force quit to regain the memory. No problems with any other website. I am running Mac OS 12.7, 8GB RAM, FF 102.0.1

Any help/suggestions appreciated.

I can load their main page but I cannot log in. I get the error I have attached. Finally, I had to log in from Safari after a lot of hassle and help from a customer service rep. What happened? I have been logging in here for years from Firefox. I am not having this issue with any other site.

After updating Firefox to 116.0.1 my tabs keep randomly crashing. I get some crash reports *occasionally* - meaning not all crashes produce a crash report - but I'm not sure what to do with them, they seem inconclusive. The last report (not for the last crash, though, which didn't produce any report) is bp-3334b934-58b5-4226-887a-235300231117

Is there a way to always show the tab close button on the tabs? Or perhaps to show the button on hover of the tab? Chrome does this and I find that very helpful, in cases where I want to close a tab and do not want to re-open that page.

Some context: When you have many tabs open (I know, who does that?) and you want to close some of them, but do not want to select those tabs, currently you can right-click and scroll through the menu to the `Close Tab` option. This is slow and a bit clunky. The `Close Tab` menu option is buried in the bottom-middle of the list.

This issue is somewhat complicated by the fact that I use the excellent Auto-Tab Discard extension to discard/sleep tabs. (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/auto-tab-discard/) So when a tab is discarded, and you click on it, the tab reloads. Which is silly when you just want to close it.

Anyone aware of a way to always show the close-tab button, or show on hover?

I can't enable USB Devices on about:debugging setup page. I already installed ADB toolkit for MacOS, also I can see my device in ADB devices list: ``` ~% adb devices -l List of devices attached 013db356 device usb:336723968X product:OnePlus6T model:ONEPLUS_A6010 device:OnePlus6T transport_id:9 ```

On the device I've enabled "Remote debugging via USB". But when I click on "Enable USB Devices" button, nothing happens. I can see only "Updating..." message, then "Disabled" again.

Also no devices in the devices list, because USB Devices are disabled. "Refresh devices" does not make any changes.

Last Saturday, I was able to sign in to Firefox Add-Ons Firefox Add-Ons and submit a pre-release of an add-on I'm working on. But today, I'm being forced to enable 2FA to simply log in to the site. I don't want to enable 2FA, I just don't need it. Can someone explain me why is this happening ? Can I just log in and submit my add-on's update ?

I've tried to sign in two different MacBooks (M1 12.1 and Yosemite 10.10.5), using two different Firefox versions (99.0.1 and 78.15.0esr). Also, I haven't enabled 2FA in my personal account.

Hello, I am a user on Mac! I am having an issue with moving tabs fluidly. Yes, moving tabs inside the window is easy but when I move them outside the window, it makes me a little uncomfortable. In the images and video I have sent, you can see that an unnecessary thumbnail of the tab pops up even when I move the tabs inside the window. This makes it harder to know if I am even moving the tab in the first place. Then it takes like 2-5 seconds for the new window of the individual tab I moved to appear. If whatever I said is quite confusing which I apologize for, I would very much recommend taking a look at Google Chrome, the browser I don't prefer, however, try moving the tabs around and outside one window and creating more windows with individual tabs. It feels more fluid or swift and easy to handle. Compare that to Firefox and a big difference is to be seen. I am concerned about this issue really because I am replacing my previous browsers, not only Google Chrome but browsers like Edge too which are capable of not having that issue, with Firefox instead and hopefully Firefox can have this capability. I also multitask a lot so I usually encounter this problem on Firefox. I hope this is fixed and am sure it will help a lot of users! Thank you! I always use private browsing so I thought that my history was totally not being saved, but discovered recently that when I started to type within the search field, that many of my past searches were listed in the search field with the type highlighted in purple. I had to manually go in and delete all of these past searches. I don't want any search history to be saved. Is there a setting in preferences that I'm somehow missing? Why is Firefox saving these past searches if I have it set to Always Use Private Browsing?

I'm trying to connect to my Schneider XWPro Gateway for access to my solar inverter, and security policy on Firefox no longer't allows access. I can access using Safari by explicitly allowing access. Error from Firefox is as follows:

An error occurred during a connection to 192.168.1.120. You are attempting to import a cert with the same issuer/serial as an existing cert, but that is not the same cert.

   The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
   Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem

Your error message states there is a problem with a certificate conflict, however there is no apparent way to tell which certificate is causing the conflict, so there is nothing I can do about it. This is a new problem, I have been able to access this device in the past.

Any suggestions?

New York times articles briefly load and then disappear on one iMac. I think it is associated with the fact that the New York Times ads are missing or haven't loaded on that iMac. On our other iMac, New York Times articles load fine and the ads are present. I've looked in the Firefox settings on both and can't find any significant differences differences that would create this problem.

As of today, I'm seeing black text on the black background of every site with a dark theme, including Google Search and Github

Switching the Website Appearance config setting between Firefox Theme, System Theme, Dark, or even Light does not change the colour of the text

I recently had a catastrophic issue with my computer and had to do a factory reset. I was removing my dead name from my folder structure and profile on my machine, and this caused it to bork...I know even my silicon hardware is transphobic *sigh*. I know there are articles talking about this issue, and I know for security and privacy your policy is that all bookmarks are lost with a password reset.

However, these bookmarks are very very invaluable, and contain so much information regarding my transition, my career, etc. I just really would love to try and find a way to recover these if at all possible. I know you and your team make recovery possible in an slew of ways, and I really don't know if I set any of those up. I thought I might of, but I am still picking up the pieces from this reset. I know I should have been more proactive about recovery and really thought I was, and I am really kicking myself for not being more explicit/diligent.

I am happy to go through any verification process. I know you have policies for a reason, but I can't just give up on so much important information. There is a years worth of memories during a time, where memories and identity are shifting. I am literally begging to not lose this data.

Google Calendar and a few other websites do not render symbols correctly. Please see attached. What should be displayed instead of letters are symbols such as > or ^. I've tried updating FF (103.0.2), ran in Safe Mode, disabled extensions, and nothing has helped. I'd like to keep using FF instead of Safari (running MacOS Monterey 12.5.1), but this is annoying.

Any ideas?
