Prior to update 125.0.1 corporate intranet users could download PDF files from our Line of Business applications / Webpages. Today after the latest update the PDF files download but are corrupted. The site was added to the trusted webpage without improvement.

Adobe Acrobat Reader could not open ********.pdf because it is either not a supported file or because the file has been damaged

After years of accessing www.youtube.com with Firefox with no problem, the website is no longer accessible as of yesterday. When I point my browser to that URL, I get a screen with greyed out video previews, greyed out titles, greyed out account access and a search window that does not do anything. I can access YouTube just fine with Safari. I've cleared my cache. Please advise.

When I watch a youtube video with chrome my cpu usage is 20-30% When I do the same with firefox my cpu usage is 50%

Running `about:support` and going into `webrender_compositor` I get the following errors under `env`: 1. Blocklisted by gfxInfo 2. Blocklisted; failure code 3. FEATURE_FAILURE_WEBRENDER_COMPOSITOR_DISABLED

I have set almost all these force renders = True and even granted gpu access to firefox flathub but still no difference in performance. I am asking now because I am just going in circles in the rabbit hole.

In all instances, when I click on a link to view a document on a website, rather than simply pop up to view, the document is downloaded and I am required to save it to my computer. Something in the Firefox settings is preventing the pop-up view from occurring. Not certain where to reset in order to correct this. Please advise

Can you help?

When I have the Firefox browser open, every time I click away from it to another open window I get this stupid graphic that pops up near the bottom right corner of my screen that says "Intelligent Work" and rotates through three different images. It is really irritating and I can't figure out how to make it go away. This is a new computer and I only installed the Firefox browser this week. It only happens when I click off of the browser to any other window.

I am attempting to report that Yahoo Finance is broken. From this URL, I use the "report broken site" feature:

When I fill out the information and hit "send", nothing happens. The "report broken site" screen remains active. Hitting Send multiple times has no effect.

I've tried using this feature for other pages, and it appears to work; but it won't work for this site.

Can anyone suggest why that might be? Is it a byproduct of the site's being broken?

I want to use extension xpi's from a shared external folder over multiple Linux profiles. So i examined the profile folder and found extensions.json. Though i can't find any documentation to it's keys online.

There's "rootURI:" with a "jar:file://path/to/extension.xpi!/", so i tried just replacing the path with the shared one. Though i observed that just makes firefox replace the path with the current one. So i examined further and found the "location:" key with the default value "app-profile". So my guess is, there's other values for other usecases, right?

So, in summary, what i need is:

• documentation to extensions.json keys or possible values to "location" key.
• if that isn't intended/doesn't work, how i can achieve my goal otherwise.

And please don't suggest the sync feature, that doesn't work for my usecase.

Why some Wikipedia pages cannot activate reading mode under Debian 12 and Firefox ESR 115.9.1, for example this English Wikipedia page on Emmabuntüs does not allow reading mode to be activated while French, Spanish and German pages can ?

When the little yellow man is placed on to the map, and a direction arrow is clicked, the view just continues to spin round. Clicking on the 'X' in the top right hand corner terminates street view. This does not happen with other browsers.

My OS is Debian 12, Firefox is the latest version 115.9.1esr (64bit).

I can't open firefox. message says "firefox quit unexpectedly" and it won't reload. I tried Force Quit. I tried restarting my computer. I tried completely shutting computer down and restarting. It happened very suddenly yesterday.

The latest version of firefox for MacOS 14.4.1 has broken the picture in picture function. When enabling PiP, the video window takes up almost the entire screen and doesn't remember the size i set it to, like it did in older versions of Firefox. Another issue is when im in fullscreen mode and enable PiP, the PiP window takes me to another 'desktop', whereas before it would simply overlay on top of my screen.

Since about one year I am unable to use Japanese input only in Firefox. When I try to switch with fcitx and control+space, nothing happens. However, fcitx-mocz works everywhere else on my computer (i.e. terminal, thunderbird, other browsers, etc.). Furthermore, I uninstalled fcitx and everything associated with it and reinstalled it according to this thread: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1367181 (just with mocz for Japanese). This also didn't change anything. Any help is appreciated! Hey, so, I've seen this question a couple times when I searched, but (a) there didn't seem to be any solution and (b) they were all regarding Macs and I'm on Windows 11 v 23H2. I keep getting bubbles saying that Firefox wasn't able to check for updates- not that it couldn't download or install updates, but it couldn't search for one. I also did the "about Firefox" thing and it gives me the same message. Both of these have been going on for a couple days and I have attempted restarting Firefox multiple times and did a manual update [125.0.1 (64-bit)] just in case there was a problem there. Now, I've tried the tips from the other threads (turning off the proxy, checking any anti-update policies, and checking the add.update.url in the config settings) with no luck. So in an effort to either bump the question or get any Windows oriented answers... Thanks muchly
