Hello, Firefox randomly downloaded a file, with seemingly randomly name, that is 0 bytes and in download manager the source is moz-safe-about. It happened when I was accessing a popular wiki site. I opened the file in notepad, it was empty. I put it on virus total and came back negative, as it is an empty file. I've curbed through the support tickets here, using the keyphrase 'moz-safe-about'. I understand this was/is quite a common problem, but it still makes me quite worried and left a sour taste in my mouth, as I haven't understood any of the explanations. I have enabled firefox to ask me whenever it wants to save something (I have no idea why this isnt the default state). Happened on a somewhat fresh, updated win 11 installation. I'm also attaching more information here with a picture. Long story short: should I be worried? Am I overreacting and this is just some sort of a bug that occurred while getting a sites data? Hello For a few days now, every time I go to youtube the page appears almost completely blank (see screenshot). I've tried disabling all my extensions and go in troubleshoot mode but it still does not work. When I try removing youtube storage from firefox settings "manage cookies and site data" and saving, data of the same size is still there when I open the storage manager again. The only thing that seems to work is going into a private window but since I have to keep signing in each time it is painful especially with google MFA. Please help.

I have Windows OS and use Firefox as my main browser. Firefox settings are set for dark mode and it works in google.com etc, but when I open iCloud Notes, it's full white and not in dark mode. Can someone advise how to change iCloud Notes also to dark mode? I have cleared cache etc, not helping.

For System Administrative reasons, I want to disable automatic Firefox updates. Firefox can ask me if I want to install an update, but I get to choose whether or not to update.

I recently switched ISP and now when I try to google anything with firefox I keep getting this message appear:

"Our systems have detected unusual traffic from your computer network. This page checks to see if it's really you sending the requests, and not a robot."

It prompts me to click 'I am not a robot' then pick out which lights have cars etc in them. Worked fine before the ISP change. Some notes:

- This does not occur on Microsoft Edge or Chrome. - The only add on I have is Ublock but it still does this when I have that disabled. Plus I have Ublock on Edge and there are no issues.

If it's my IP address, then why does this ONLY appear when I use Firefox? Surely it would also appear when using google on any browser if my IP address was in question...

From what I am reading online, my only option is to either: - Use a different search engine ; or - Use a different browser.

I'm curious to hear other people's thoughts on this.

Hello, When i create a new tab (cntrl + T) I can no longer just start typing and have that be a google search. Now I need to manually click in the search bar. Is there a way to enable it so creating a new tab automatically puts the text into the search bar field?

I noticed that a setting on the about:config page was removed: the "security.csp.enable" setting. I was using this setting to disable CSP to be able to load local JS scripts on some non-locally hosted sites, for debugging and development, work related purposes.

Was this setting really removed? Is there a way to disable CSP on Firefox on the latest version?

I am trying to add my Android phone as a device to Firefox. I initially invoked the code scanner next to the search bar, but got a message saying that the code had to be scanned from within the Firefox app. So I installed the app and followed these instructions entitled "Connect Another Device".

• If you haven't already, install Firefox on your mobile device. • Open Firefox on your mobile device. • Open the menu, tap Settings and select Turn on Sync. • Scan this code:

There is no Turn on Sync option in the Settings menu. I have looked in every menu item that appears even remotely related to syncing with a QR code or adding a device and come up empty.

I found this exact issue in two existing questions, but neither of them had ever been answered, which makes me less than confident that mine will. If there is a Turn on Sync option in Settings, and I just overlooked it, please explain step-by-step where I can find it. If there really is no Turn on Sync option, please provide an alternate method of adding my Android phone.

I like to clear the cache on a regular basis but then Facebook does not recognize my laptop and I have trouble logging back on. Is it possible to clear the cache for all but a select website? Thanks

my pc had friend so when i got a new one i lost all of my firefox data, how can i get all of it back so i was forced to start all over, i lost all my, bookmarks, tabs, history and saved passwords

Hi Firefoxes! I updated to the latest and greatest 99.0.1, whenever i use the middle mouse button it opens every link in 2 tabs. Also when i middle mouse on a tab, 2 tabs are closed. Anyone came along this bug? Restarting FF and Windows did not help. Trying to get my notebook charged and check it on my macbook.

I downloaded a large filed in my Firefox Browser and it took me 2 days to download the file but when it's almost done, it suddenly failed download. Can you help me resume the download? I think it stopped around 60 gig.

I had a Firefox account on my phone. I got hacked. So I uninstalled the Firefox app. I got the upgrade for Lookout and added that to my phone. I opened a new Firefox browser on my PC because I was tired of Google and I don't like Bing. I think you are still using my phone account. dawniegirl1973. lt has never been a primary or secondary email for phone or Pc. But you caught the last hacker! I would like an upgrade with Firefox on both PC and phone if I wouldn't have to pay for both devices. Would that cover both PC and phone? They are not linked, but they do share 2 emails and passwords. I also would like VPN, if that would secure my wifi. But I need a network that I can use for all my internet needs. I don't know what all VPN does. Please help me out. I don't know what to do anymore. It's all gotten so confusing. I'm tired of being hacked. Please advice. I trust, you, Firefox and I want you on both devices can we do this?

I cannot access my primary Firefox account, don't have a two-step authentication app configured for the account, can't find recovery codes, and don't have a logged-in device. In addition, I subscribe to premium services linked to the affected Firefox account, so I'm now unable to access them as well. To ask this question, I created a new Firefox account.

What should I do now? It seems I'm stuck paying for services I can no longer access. I can't even cancel the premium services since I can't access the affected Firefox account. How can I contact Mozilla Corp?
