I would like to be able to make sure if a pop-up window is blocked, that I'm being notified about it, but there are no options in settings.

I read through the instructions listed on the help pages and found a message from support from 4 years ago about manually editing the settings, which wasn't helpful.

Are they just on by default now? Or did they get turned off and if so, how do I turn them back on?

(p.s. having something teach you how to do something, this case getting trouble shooting data manually, should open another window, not navigate me away from the page I'm sending this message from)

So I have an Excel workbook in my onedrive from MS, It was working fine on my firefox browser in my Ubuntu OS, last week it started to delete my cell's information whenever I pressed the enter, tab or arrow keys, I contacted the MS support and they get me to opened the same file on a chrome browser and worked fine... I still want to use my firefox browser but this problem is very annoying, please help me sort it out!!!

I've reported these issues before with no response. I've uninstalled reinstalled cleared cache and cookies searched another forums et cetera. Why must I manually update when it's set to auto update? When I set controls to ask where to download items it bypasses that and downloads it as a temp file where I have to cut it out of explorer and paste it where I would like to save it.

Everytime i try to watch a video it says it can't play or it just sits there buffering. Youtube works but only lower quality, but every other site i go on doesn't. Twitch won't load, other sites show Error Code: 102630. This is only a problem on my browser on my windows pc I have. On mobile the browser works great and has no problem showing videos so it a problem for my pc browser.. I've tried all of the steps, i've updated, i checked drm and even went into config to check there. But nothing works, it still can't load videos. I have version 125.0.3 and for me it's the latest one. I even turned off all of my add-ons to check if it works or not but nothing there either. It worked before, just now the latest two months it hasn't. What can I do in order for the videos to load? Thank you for your time.

HI, I have a Mac with El Capitan OS and Firefox 78.15.0esr. Recently I can´t open some websites: ChatGPT, Likendin, TunnelBear, Wester Union, etc. Before everything was working perfect. Please HELP! Thanks friends :) When I try to open this website, nothing happens, nor an error, sometimes in certain website it keeps retrieving and thats it.

The fundamental nature of dementia and Alzheimers is that the victim cannot remember new information. But for some time they can recall information and processes which were learned previously.

After some years, they will be unable to utilize any of the technology they depend upon - they will not be able to turn on their device to make a phone call. They won't be able to locate the menu they need to utilize. Because all that changes CONSTANTLY. They will become helpless sooner than necessary. The only solution is for software makers to roll out, every 5 or 6 years, a "stable version" where the user interface will not change one iota for 25 years. Of course, they must still make internal updates for security and changes in the Internet Protocol layer system. The portions of the code that deal with the user must be modular to be plugged into newer hardware and communication protocols.

When someone is diagnosed with memory impairment, they will have time to learn the latest Stable Version.

This is a very fundamental change to business as usual, but there is no other solution other than continuing to balloon the cost of elder car.

I've been using the Firefox browser, and recently when downloading files with Firefox, sometimes it prompts: .part could not be saved, because the source file could not be read. # see image #1 I'm trying to download file to disk D. But the fail tips is download .part file to disk C. Maybe firefox is using some file cache policy which I don't know. I also checked both two location, my account have read/write access.

I can try to resume the download, and the download progress will increase, but about half a second later it will fail again. If the file is small and my internet speed is fast enough, after several attempts the file will eventually download successfully. # see image #2 I have tried using "private window" or enter "about:profiles" to create/use a new and clean profile, but the issue still persists. # see image #3 I tried using other download tools like "Internet Download Manager", and the download was successful. It's ok for use chrome to download the same file to same disk location. The problem recently emerged, it didn't exist before. At least a month ago, the same computer didn't have this issue. I'm not using parental controls.

The pinned shortcuts on my newtab page have all disappeared once again. I've gone to about:config > browser.newtabpage.pinned and my shortcuts are all listed. But only blank boxes show up on the page. It will not accept a new entry when I try to enter one. It goes back to the blank white box. Why does this keep happening? Can anyone give me a Firefox for Dummies way to fix this?? Thanks!

How can the Firefox message popups be permantly turned off they are modal breaking my automation.

I have the latest FF browser. I'm not using any proxy service, just spectrum connection. when i try to access my credit union account, i get this message

So I noticed an issue with certain websites a few days ago. I was trying to make a hair appointment online, it was asking me to fill in my email, and the box wouldn't let me click on it. I used a different browser, and it worked just fine. Same thing today: I was trying to make a lab appointment, the next step was verifying I'm not a robot, I clicked the box, and it had a loading circle eternally. I tried it on a different browser, and it worked within seconds, no loading. I've never had this issue with Firefox before! I tried clearing my cookies and cache, and that didn't do anything unfortunately. Let me know what I can do to fix this problem! I normally loved Firefox and it's my main browser, so I'm hoping to resolve this issue. Thanks so much!

I had used and uninstalled Chrome, and others. All I have is FF and ME. Some times when I attempt to open a web page, FF fails and I have to use ME. But other times ME fails and I need to use FF. I recognize that all browsers other than FF are the same or similar basis. So, how can I stick with JUST FF. And not have to keep ME updated or active. Just let ME sit there unused. Why can't FF work with all web sites? Is the problem with them or with FF?

I am using Firefox 125 in Windows 11. And this just happens recently.

Sometimes, quite frequently, when I click the addressbar wanting to input or select a new address. The Firefox UI freezes (before the dropdown list of addresses is shown). The video/audio/other effects are still working, and from task manager, it does not cost more CPU/mem than usual. But it does not response to key press or mouse action. All I can do (that I know of) is killing the processes. The problem does not seem related to "current" webpage I am browsing. And I have not installed new addons for a few months.

Any idea what should I look into?

Hey, so, I've seen this question a couple times when I searched, but (a) there didn't seem to be any solution and (b) they were all regarding Macs and I'm on Windows 11 v 23H2. I keep getting bubbles saying that Firefox wasn't able to check for updates- not that it couldn't download or install updates, but it couldn't search for one. I also did the "about Firefox" thing and it gives me the same message. Both of these have been going on for a couple days and I have attempted restarting Firefox multiple times and did a manual update [125.0.1 (64-bit)] just in case there was a problem there. Now, I've tried the tips from the other threads (turning off the proxy, checking any anti-update policies, and checking the add.update.url in the config settings) with no luck. So in an effort to either bump the question or get any Windows oriented answers... Thanks muchly
