Hello

I've been using linux for 3 years now but never before fedora, i just installed Fedora 34 KDE and im having issues ive never had before, im wondering why and what i can do about it.

for example, ctrl+c seems not to be working. i have to look up a lot of guides and copy a lot of commands from websites using firefox and i want to paste them in the terminal but its finnicky, often doesnt, i cant quite get a hang of when it does and why sometimes it refuses.

another issue is ctrl+w works to close tabs but ctrl+f4 doesnt, but alt+f4 does work. what the hell?

So what works with Firefox browser to get email read receipts without the recipient knowing? Do I need to use another browser?

Hello,

I had this problem mostly on 1 site across multiple Windows installs. But now it happens on multiple sites. Text overlap each other. I Am using Windows 10 Pro 20H2, Firefox Last stable with only UBlock addon.

I tried: even troubleshoot mode didn't help!

- changing/flushing dns didn't help (heard dns could cause that)

Any idea why is this happening. It doesn't look like site issue, since recently it happened multiple times!

I'm not sure what is causing this, but for a while now I have been having problems when typing and this happens quite a bit now. First I'm not very proficient at typing, I use the hunt and peck method, I have to look at the keyboard to type. But it seems like when I hit certain keys like: W, E, R, T, Y or in that area of keys, things happen I do not want. For one, I had to type this in my email and copy and paste here, because the tab that this was open in, kept reloading and I would lose everything I typed. Even in the email, several times when I hit the E R keys a window would pop up asking if I wanted to leave the page. Or what I was typing would show up in the search block at the top of the email screen. When I'm typing out a comment in YouTube, the tab will reload and I lose everything. Sometimes in my gmail account, typing an email to someone, or in another site like YouTube or a companies website typing out a question or answering one, if the tab doesn't reload, a Bing search popup window opens.I thought it might be my keyboard as it was quite old, but I just replaced it with a new one and the problem has gotten worse. I've run a virus scan and every other scan on Avast that I have and there is nothing and Avast is current. I have the Windows 10 Hotkeys turned off. This is getting really annoying. I do not know if it is a Windows problem or a Firefox problem or a computer problem. So far no one has been able to give me an answer. Are there Shortcut Keys in Firefox, more in Windows 10 other than the hot keys, or is there some other program I need to disable? Please Get back with me on this.Robert

OK, sorry if I dont know all the technical jargon but here are a couple issues I have been having. Currently using FF88.0 on Windows 10 Home edition.

A few updates ago I noticed when I go to print a page from the internet (specifically eBay Order Details) it no longer prints the default auction picture as it appears on the screen but enlarges it up to the original download size. This make the shrink to fit option no longer work properly. So in order to get all of the information I need on one page of print I have to constantly change the size from 40-60% to make it work. Frustrating and time wasting.

Second issue: This one just started with the last update. I use a Rollo label printer and I had everything set up where it worked just fine. After the last update it prints half labels and I cant get it to adjust back properly. Huge issue and time waster.

On average I feel like this slows me down 15-30 minutes a day total.

With Gmail open in Firefox browser, when I start typing the name of the addressee in the TO field, many addressees will not autocomplete, even though they are properly saved in my Gmail contacts list. I looked for common solution for this ... and found: use different browser. I did, and MS Edge works just fine. Is there a setting in Firefox that will fix this?

I am running Firefox 88.0 (64-bit) on Windows 10 Pro (64-bit) 20H2. I don't think the exact versions are the problem though, because this has been going on for months at least.

My system time zone is manually set to "Haiti (UTC+5:00)" for the Caribbean. My system time is set to automatically sync and my system time zone is set to manual.

The problem is if I open my Firefox browser history with Library > History > Manage History the visit time is an hour later than my system time. For example the history will show a page visit at 14:20 while my system time is still 13:20.

I suspect that Firefox is using the wrong time zone offset, but where can I change that?

Thanks.

Hi

When I try and login even though I enter the correct credentials I get the message "hmm the information you provided doesn't match our records. Try again?"

Works perfectly fine on Chrome

I'm in IT so know what I'm doing and have tried all your generic fixes-safemode, troubleshooting etc. Firefox needs to fix this is it fixed and if so please advise or should I just stop using Firefox?

Thanks

I left my FF browser open by accident when I went to bed, no other applications were open. This morning I realized my GPU was sitting at 55c when I looked at the thermistor sensor in the hardware monitor report in precision X1.

As soon as i closed FF the temps went back to 25c in less than 1 minute.

So what is FF doing that consumes so much GPU even when idle?

I had a 2080TI GPU go bad two months ago after sitting idle overnight - now I know why - it was firefox using my GPU and overheating my system (even while not "appearently" doing anything).

I used to be a FF fan, but not anymore after losing a $1200 GPU due to the horrible programming that basically is making FF become a huge contributor to my electricity bill wearing out my hardware.

as of 2021 I am abandoning FF due to concerns of further damaging my PC.
