Hello -

I recently organized my bookmarks through "manage bookmarks" and it worked fine for a few days. Now, the organization I did does not show up on my bookmarks toolbar but it does show up when I click "manage bookmarks."

What's not syncing up? Any guidance is appreciated! Thank you!

Hi, when I use Firefox on this machine, the bookmark sync doesn't work as expected. Instead of maintaining the order of the other devices' bookmark toolbar, it is ordering the non-folder bookmarks before the foldered bookmarks. How can I make it so the bookmark toolbar is the same across all devices? I have tried deleted places.sqlite and backupbookmarks folder.

OS: Debian 11

Thank you!

I opened up Mozilla and noticed that my bookmarks bar was empty and can't figure out why my bookmarks are "gone" (but still registered by Firefox), or how to put them back into my bookmarks bar. The only thing I can think of that might have caused this is that I accidentally clicked on the "Import bookmarks" button at some point during the last time I was using Firefox, but I'm not sure if that would cause my bookmarks to disappear.

Is there any way to restore my bookmarks bar?

The Firefox Sidebar is a very nice feature that I use to provide favorite bookmarks to an non-computer-savvy elderly parent. Unfortunately many times the "X" in the upper right of the sidebar is accidentally clicked which results in a phone call or remote login session to recover. It would be helpful if there was an option to "lock" the sidebar so it cannot be closed by an unsavvy user. In addition, it would be valuable if the sidebar lock prevented the user from collapsing/expanding (changing) the bookmark lists in the sidebar. Once they are "locked" (by a computer proficient person), no changes are allowed to the sidebar by a careless user.

Firefox pushed an update on me today. When I re-launched after the update, I had none of my bookmarks or plugins!

Logged in using the email account I *believe* I had been using, and two menubar bookmarks appeared, but the drop-down menu is missing everything else I had previously!  :(

Looking in the FF settings folder, it looks like there is a folder with other account settings, but I do not know how to identify which is which, nor do I know how to copy over settings from the other account...

Help?

Thanks,

-Chip

Hi,

I downloaded the new Firefox browser a couple of days ago and now I have lost all my bookmarks.

Does Firefox have a recent backup that I can import?

I clicked on 'Bookmarks', then 'Manage Bookmarks', select restore, but the bookmarks are from months ago.

Where are my current bookmarks?

Also, where is the bookmarks icon which was in the top right-hand corner, how do I access the bookmarks in this new version?

Kind regards,

Maria

I used to have 'Word Hippo' (an on-line thesaurus which I use daily) in my bookmarks, but it has gone and I can't access it on Firefox to re-install it. It is accessible on Chrome but not on Firefox which seem strange, and understandably it won't transfer from there into Firefox Bookmarks.
