Hi,

I am encountering an issue where Firefox throws an "Uncaught out of memory" error in the console, despite my system having ample RAM available. Here are the details of the problem:

• Error Message in Console: Uncaught out of memory
• Memory Usage Observed: Using about:processes, I noticed that Firefox's maximum memory usage caps at around 7GB.
• System Specifications: The machine running Firefox has 128GB of RAM, so there should be plenty of memory available.
• Firefox Version: 126.0a1

Given the significant amount of RAM available on my machine, it seems unusual that Firefox would hit a memory limit at just 7GB. I suspect there might be a bug or a misconfiguration causing this issue.

Can you please assist in diagnosing and resolving this problem? Are there any settings or configurations I should adjust, or is this a known issue with the current version of Firefox?

Can you recommend some kind of extension thet will only check current icons for the bookmarks? Just that. I don't need duplicate bookmarks checker, inactice checker and God knows what else checker. Just icons, that's good enough for me.

Is there a way to make the Nav Bar flush with the left and right margins of the browser?

The way it is now, the margins are a bit too much inward, not reaching the ends of the browser window, which makes the buttons on the ends (Back and Hamburger) too wide, as can be seen by the wide highlight when hovering over them. This makes the end buttons rectangular instead of square.

In FF 88, these buttons were flush with the left and right margins of the window, making all buttons on the Nav Bar square.

I'd like all the Nav Bar buttons to be perfectly square and symmetrical. This apparently requires adjusting the left & right margins of the Nav Bar... or is the Nav Bar just too short causing it to stretch itself to the ends of the window? I'm not sure.

I am running Firefox 126.0-1 on an Arch Linux system. Most websites are failing to connect for security reasons.

Some sites, including google.com and nytimes.com, fail with an "SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER" error, and their certificates confirm that they are respectively issued by Google Trust Services LLC and DigiCert Inc.

The website archlinux.org errors with "MOZILLA_PKIX_ERROR_MITM_DETECTED", stating that "Software is Preventing Firefox From Safely Connecting to This Site", citing in particular ISRG Root X1 as the problem. The certificate confirms that it is issued by Let's Encrypt.

The website duckduckgo.com simply errors with "SEC_ERROR_PATH_LEN_CONSTRAINT_INVALID" and states "Secure Connection Failed"

I have confirmed in preferences that my proxy settings are set to "No proxy" and the problem persists across troubleshooting mode and making a new profile. I have also tried removing the cert9.db file in a given profile folder.

As of Wednesday afternoon my internal/system mic and speakers are no longer working with FireFox. Geek Squad says it's a problem with FireFox. I'm running Win11 on a Dell laptop that's about a year old. Firefox is up to date, and Windows should be as well.

Some months ago, Firefox stopped displaying the blue progress bar that would normally show once you clicked on the download icon. You still see the usual file info but now the progress bar of the download is gray instead of blue and is extremely hard to see. You have to look closely but in the first screenshot you can see where the shade of gray of the progress bar changes, just under the "6" of the "x86" part of the file name. But if you click on the "show all downloads" link, then the blue progress bar will show as usual for any in-progress downloads in the Library window, as shown in the second screenshot.

It isn't a huge issue but is still annoying when you just want to quickly see the progress of downloads in Firefox. I haven't changed any of the colors in Firefox or in Windows for that matter, I'm currently running Windows 10. All other dialog boxes, windows, etc. all display normally on my system. Just curious if anyone else is having this problem and hopefully a future update can take care of it.

Hi Firefox. I have been using Firefox since the 90's. I love the feature that you can save a url complete with that website name, icon, and colors. My desktop is very colorful. I just did an update on Firefox in the last two days. Lets just call it the last update. After the last update an hour ago I just received a notification that Malwarebytes blocked what the call Malvertising. As I said, I have been using Firefox since the 90's as my default browser and I have never seen this before on any browser. There were an few short periods in the last few months when Firefox would just lock up my pc, and I switched browsers to Chrome. But as soon as you corrected the issue, I switched back to Firefox. I got to admit that this Malvertising notification has disturbed me a little. I have Edge, Chrome, and Opera browsers installed as well but I like you the best. Please explain to my why I got this notification from Malwarebytes. BTY, Malwarebytes found a keylogger in my PC that Eset, and Windows Defender scans did not find. So, I am a fan of Malwarebytes as well. I downloaded the Malwarebytes notification of the Malvertising Notification into .txt format, but the button below this says images. If I can send it, and you want it, just let me know.

The Copilot website text field is the only text field I have encouraged where typing text does not get automatically underlined for spelling mistakes. I have the box ticked for 'Check your spelling as you type' in the general settings, and I have tried changing the about:config layout.spellcheckDefault value to 2. Nothing has worked.

The spell checking feature for the Copilot website text field can be enabled, but you have to manually enable it each time by right clicking the text field and making sure "Check Spelling" is ticked. It is quite annoying.

The "Check Spelling" setting on every other text field from every other website like this very text field I'm typing into right here right now for this firefox support forum, has the  "Check Spelling" setting ticked by default.  

Anybody else experiencing this issue?

Is there any way to make Firefox iOS browser Dark Mode a little darker by avoiding the moments when it is loading or reloading a page and the screen is fully bright white?

I'm currently on a very old version of Firefox simply because the new versions, each time I try the latest versions, seem to not have the function the old one has. Remembering the websites I put into the address bar. The version I am currently using did have a issue with shuffling the order of the sites based on 'use' but setting Firefox to Private mode kept the websites locked in order and did not make them shuffle if one was clicked more often than another. Is this something I can do on the current version because I tried and looked for a way to do this recently but I kept getting 'autofill' results from google when I just want to be in Private mode, have the websites I frequent be the only ones listed when I click the address bar and not have them shuffle or have any other website I'd type into the bar not add itself to the list. If this is or isn't possible let me know.

I can no longer login to my webmail account using firefox, but I CAN login using MS Edge. I obtained a new ISP and set up a new email account. I was able to access the webmail account for about a month with Firefox. Then a few days a age, it just stopped: When entering valid credentials, the login page just refreshes (without errors) and doesn't continue to the webmail inbox any longer. So I thought I'd try a different browser and I used MS Edge. The valid credentials get me into the webmail inbox using Edge, but no longer works in Firefox. Any ideas what happened?

I have been unable to receive the OTP I need to log in. My username and password work fine but then I try to get to the OTP, it doesn't show up on my email and the cell phone number is an old one. Please help. I have a lot of shopping to do.

Firefox Browser 125.0.3, Flatpak Every few minutes, the mouse locks up on Ubuntu 23.10 and it only happens with I have Firefox open. I have have no extension, and history is turned off I have lived with this for months on multiple updates hoping for someone working on Firefox would figure out the issue and fix it.

This issue never happens to me on my windows PCs.

Any solutions? thanks Richard
