Some of my shortcuts were missing on Firefox when I started my laptop this morning. I tried restarting my computer but that didn't help. I really don't know what topic fits best. I am not at all tech savvy when it come to computers.

I've been trying to get this computer to work. The last time a clean install was done a few days ago Firefox immediately remembered my favorites, extensions (or one important one of them) and the configuration of the browser.

when i open firefox the volume for some reason always maxes out but if i switch to another tab the volume changes to my prefered setting . this is a really unpleasant experience . Please guide me to change this or fix the issue if the problem is on your end

Some time ago, Firefox started displaying a sound speaker, that replaced the favicon, whenever sound was being played in a tab. (It seems it's an old feature, but I've only ever noticed it not long ago.) The thing is, a few updates ago, the speaker stopped replacing the favicon and appears to the side of it. I preferred it when it replaced the favicon, so I've been looking for a way to bring it back.

With some help from ChatGPT, I was able to get close to what it was, by using the userChrome.css, but not quite. I asked it to create a code to hide the favicon, hoping that would do it, and this is what it came up with:

/* HIDE TAB FAVICON WHEN PLAYING SOUND AND SHIFT SPEAKER ICON LEFT */ .tabbrowser-tab:not([pinned], [sharing], [crashed]):is([activemedia-blocked], [soundplaying], [muted]) .tab-icon-image { display: none !important; }

It hides the favicon, but the speaker doesn't align with the favicon and the tab title is also slightly offset to the right. There's a space or margin somewhere. I tried removing margins (with the help of my technician), to no avail.

Is there any way of getting that previous behavior back?

According to Mozilla and all other online instructions for changing Firefox wallpaper, one must click on the Settings icon (pinwheel) in the upper right corner of a new tab. There is no such icon anywhere on the new tab screen. There is no wallpaper to select under the Settings menu (three dashes) in the top right hand corner. I have the latest version of Firefox. What version are these instructions for? And how does one change the Firefox wallpaper? Firefox is my default browser in Ubuntu 2204 LTS.

First, let me make it clear that I've spent hours on this several times, chatted with some very clever Mac programming folk, etc. Nothing is resolving the issue.

Secondly — yes, I want to use Firefox and not Safari — and, no, I don't want to use the Notes App on my laptop.

I need scrollbars to work for iCloud NOTES in Firefox on my Mac laptop.

(Mind you, I have this same issue on my Windows PC at work, too.)

So ... my kingdom to anyone who can help!

It's 2025 — it can't be that hard to get this to function in a normal & intended way.

2 things. First, I don't want my email separated into 3 tabs. Want all email together. How do I accomplish that? Secondly, why do sites open under Safari instead of Firefox. Can I avoid that or does it just have to be that way?

I know this is dumb, but I cleared my iMac's cache and nuked my entire history, password and bookmarks. This is catastrophic :( Can you please assist with any steps that may be able to allow me to recover this data? I have icould and it's synced, and I have a Firefox account but I cannot seem to find any way of restoring or accessing some backup. Please advise. Thank you!

Hello. My email account on Firefox that i have is not being saved but my password is when signing into a cruise line company. I have to type my Firefox email address in every time but my password is working. I have both of them saved into your password saved. The weird thing is that if i save email address and password and use Chrome both of them works just fine to sign in. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
