Hello, today I could not launch Firefox on my Mac. Because this is a corporate machine from Kyndryl, I downloaded from Kyndryl App Store, I have rebooted the systems, I have updated iOS to last version, but still haven't solved the issue. This is the situation: Firefox is installed, I click to launch it, I am asked to authenticate with MFA I authenticate correctly, and Firefox just sits at the dock bar jumping, then stops jumping, and nothing else happens. I repeated the process several times, made several reboots, nothing changed. Can you suggest a solution?

We use firefox for accessing several websites for our town. We are getting an error message : "Firefox is already running, but is not responding. The old Firefox process must be closed to open a new window." I have tried closing the open window and I restarted the computer several times, with the same result on the message. I am running Windows 11.

When I first open Firefox from the icon in my taskbar the opening window says the following:

'Unable to connect Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at 0.0.0.4. The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments. If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network connection. If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the web.'

However this is only the first window, after that I can open a new tab in the same window without any problems.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox without avail. Can anyone help please?

After Firefox updated today, the executable no longer starts. I get the following error message:

firefox.exe -- Bad Image

C:\Program Files\<Mozilla Firefox\gkcodecs.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Error status 0x000000d. </p>

And then another error message: Couldn't load XPCOM.

Please advise.

I am quite certain there is a connection between Firefox (latest version 137.0) and the Brother Print and Scan OEM software for model MFC-J6940DW for windows 11. After repeated attempts to re-install Firefox and restart the PC, Firefox still failed to launch. Only after deleting the Brother app will Firefox now reliablly start up every time. Curiously, the same phenomenon occurred on my 2016 Lenovo Yoga X1 running windows 10.

I hope a diagnosis can be made, because I found the Print and Scan app nice to use.

I’m on Windows (latest updates) and using the most recent version of Firefox. Whenever I try to play YouTube videos, they either buffer indefinitely or won’t load at all. I’ve already tried:

   Clearing cache and cookies

   Disabling all add-ons and extensions

   Toggling hardware acceleration

   Creating a new Firefox profile

   Uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox from scratch

   Checking DRM settings (Widevine)

   Updating my graphics drivers

   Temporarily disabling antivirus/firewall

   Flushing DNS and trying a different DNS

None of these steps solved the problem. YouTube works fine in other browsers on the same system. I’d appreciate any suggestions or help to fix this. Thank you!

Is there a way to make the URL high lighting of the domain more obvious? I find that most people can barely see the highlighting and I'd like to make it obvious (bolder and red, or highlighted in yellow, for instance.)

Can this be done via userchrome.css?

Seit gestern kann ich den Browser auf einem Laptop gar nicht mehr starten. Die Hilfe über den shift & Firefox-Icon geht nicht - somit kann ich auch die Proxisinfos da nicht ändern -. Auf einem anderen kann ich es schon. Doch alle gespeicherten Informationen zB. Passwörter bleiben mir auf dem anderen gesperrt.

Wie kann ich den Browser auf dem ersten starten - oder Passwörter wieder haben -? Danke

Was in the midst of a Quickbooks data download and Firefox browser disappeared and Windows no longer lists it in programs save for "Firefox Private Browsing" which triggers an "cannot find" error message when I try launching.

Long time user and never had trouble.

There were a few error messages from anti-virus software during the transaction - which I assumed were due to interfacing with someone online doing the data transfer so I ignored them. So it could be related to that.

Firefox was my default browser, on two places on my desktop, now it is gone.

During the QB download process, I had to switch browsers and use Chrome to find my email etc.

I am fine with just uploading Firefox again, though I assume it means I will lose my open tabs and possibly any memorized passwords etc.

I have updated FF on four PCs to 136.0.3. On just one PC, FF launches to a small window which is completely non-functional. None of the visible controls do anything. I can't move the window but I can resize it but everything is greyed out except the search bar. I can type in the search bar but get no search.

I have read a number of similar posts, but these fixes do not work: I cannot toggle the full screen using F12, I cannot change the launch behavior by setting 'maximize' in the shortcut properties, Deleting xulstore.json (repeatedly) does not fix (I have no localstore.rdf), I have no access to any of the normal FF controls that would let me refresh or troubleshoot.

I could always reinstall, but thought I would ask first.

Firefox will not update when I click the restart button. Firefox restarts but does not update. Closing Firefox manually (X) several times did not help. I had to restart my laptop and then Firefox updated. This started happening the update before 136.0.3, which is my current version. I don't want to keep restarting my laptop every time there is a Firefox update, which seems to be happening more frequently.
