When watching videos, switching between my Bluetooth headphones and Mac speakers will cause the sound not being able to output correctly, the video will be seem muted. Sound output is fine when using other explorer and apps. Restarting Firefox will usually fix the problem.

Today was the second time in two weeks I have lost every open tab in Firefox. Previous to this, this problem has not occurred in at least 5 years. What is going on? To utilize data from multiple sites takes a long time to relocate sites and this is becoming unacceptable. Firefox updates are better than this. Thank you for your help.

For some months now when I click on a video that is on a news website, such as The Guardian or The BBC for example, the video screen goes black and nothing happens. Any suggestions?

I normally put the computer to sleep at night, rather than powering down (although I do that periodically). After waking the computer, and clicking Firefox open, the browser loads with the two or three tabs I last had open, and within the minute closes. There's no warning or pop-up window saying what happened. I open it again, and within the minute it closes again. This happens four times. On the fifth try, Firefox opens without the previous tabs and with just one "New Tab" showing. After that it's fine. Also, it doesn't happen if I wake the computer and let it sit for a while before sitting down.

This is an oddity that I can live with. I'm just curious about what's going on.

I'm using Firefox 137.0.2 on a MacBook Pro (M4) macOS Sequoia 15.4.1 . I just installed Multi-Account Containers, and have a question that's not answered in any support material I can find.

Before I installed Multi-Account Containers, I had several Firefox windows open, each with many tabs. For each window, I used "Bookmark All Tabs" to save that windows set of bookmarks in a separate Bookmark folder, e.g. "Weather Obs&Forecasts", "Reading_news", "Music & Language", "Reading_miscellany".

Is there a way that I can open a new window and open all the websites in a bookmark folder at once in a single container? (I have in mind making use of Bookmarks > Reading_news > Open All in Tabs .) Because opening a new window, opening a new tab in a container, duplicating that tab 10 times, and then using Bookmarks > Reading_news to open each of the bookmarks in one of those new containerized tabs was a real drag.

This problem started yesterday. The sound in YouTube with Firefox is extremely low. As far as I can tell, the problem doesn't exist elsewhere. Other browers are OK with YouTube and other websites that have sound are OK with Firefox.

I reinstalled Firefox and rebooted the computer - still has the problem.

I'm using Windows 11 24H2 (home) on my desktop.

I have attempted to sign in to MyHealtheVet.gov 3 or 4 times over as many hours. Every instance has encountered the same message "Secure Connection Failed. This is the Verterans Administration website and find it hard to believe their website is not secure. I'm not a computer geek, far from it, hence utilizing this method of contact. Firefox Containers > Manage Containers > Remove [container]; message (modal, I think it's called?) pops up to say I have a tab open and do I want to proceed? I to up to the container icon upper-right, search for [container], click to open that page, then CTRL+W to close it. Then I try to Remove [container] again; fails. That container is still in the list, and still popping up a note that a tab is open in that container (no, I closed it).

I really like the Containers feature, AND it could use some improvement.

Unrelated, I'm open to help with proofreading; feel free to ask, or point me to a git where I could contribute. I'm not happy about the apparent erosion of privacy in Firefox, but it sure beats Google, Microsoft, Apple, etc.

I can log into my google account fine, but trying to watch videos on youtube leads me to just a grey wall. everyhting is infinitely loading!

And with twitch, just trying to log in is laggy.

Hello, I use Firefox Containers and, for better accessibility (I struggle with finding the right container as is), I would like to be able to re-order them alphabetically at least, if not also by color, icon, or other useful factors. Is there a way to do this currently? If not, is it in the works? If not, can you help put it in the pipeline, please? Best regards, Henry

I had this issue a few months ago but it then seemed to resolve itself. Now it's back.

I use passkey on a few sites like Google, Youtube, Hubspot... every time I attempt to use passkey on such sites Firefox locks up and I can't select anything on the page, a different tab. It just completely locks up and I have to restart it.

I always deselect cookies.

I don't have this issue on Safari so it is the only way I have to deal with this issue.

I've used Google Maps in Firefox for years on a Surface PC. Over the past couple of weeks, I've found that Google Maps will select a route or routes, but they don't show up (highlighted in blue) on the page. What's happened? Is there a fix...?

Numerous sites, most recently Etsy, will not give me access. The message is always this or some variation: "We detected unusual activity from your device or network. Reasons may include: Rapid taps or clicks. JavaScript disabled or not working. Automated (bot) activity on your network (IP 71.217.57.171) Use of developer or inspection tools."

This happens even if I disable Ublock Origin. The only other extensions I have are 1Password, Zoom and Undo close tab. How do I fix this? The problem does not exist if I use a different browser. It is VERY frustrating!

Well I've been chasing this problem for about a year. Things I have done. 1) reinstalled firefox 2)reinstalled windows 3)attempt to remove the ImportEnterpriseRoots flag via Regedit. (Mozilla does not even appear in in the policies folder) I Suspect this has something to do with having logged into my firefox account on a shared work computer, and the sysadmins subsequently removing the ability to use personal firefox accounts on these computers, to the point of not even being able to logout of the account.

It just keeps coming back. I only have MS Defender for security so I don't think its security software causing it, and I do not believe a virus/rootkit would survive several formats and reinstalls.

Firefox has been running incredibly slow. I currently only have this window open, but if I open my task manger it shows 10 Firefox windows running. If I right click and end task, it will end the task, but shortly there after a new one will pop up. 1 of the is running in efficiency mode. I assume this is what is slowing down performance, but I do not know how to fix.

when attempting to move Firefox bookmarks to my new computer, I click import data within the Firefox page. The computer asks me to select the file. I have no idea where the bookmarks reside and cannot find a file. What is the procedure to get this done?

I do not understand. I reinstalled my Slimbook OS. After reboot, seems like the user account for linux is created after the reboot. But anyways, I signed in Firefox, got my extensions, passwords, and also my Multi-Account Containers saved containers.

I upgraded system and rebooted and Slimbook OS created a new account. So, I had to login to Firefox again and do the same. But this time, got extensions, passwords but not the Containers. What the heck ?!

What's wrong here ? I really would like my containers back.

Someone please help me.
