I do not own a cell phone. I was asked for it in order to Sync to FF. Please offer an alternative to owning a cell phone. I (and wife) currently use my grown daughters to access Google.

PS The wife whole gmail account was wiped out because she forgot her google password. Had to open a new emaii account.

My password is accepted to get into Firefox but not accepted to sync, I guess it is. It used to do so for years but now will not after the last update. Doing what the threads already suggested does not work in part because my Firefox does not even have the same places to activate what the suggestions offer.

I'm doing a clean up and restoration of my current windows. Its great that now firefox has sync which makes transferring easier. Base on the article https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/view-synced-tabs-other-devices

"Additionally, you can use the Firefox Sidebar to access synced tabs. While viewing synced tabs in Sidebar, right clicking on device name allows you to open all tabs from a device at once. "

I've tried and search everywhere but I don't see this option at all. There is no option even after right clicking.

At the same time, i'm wondering if sync is better than copying the entire profile over

'I have FF installed on a macmini, I want to sync that installation with my other machines, win 11, linux. IN trying to do that, I got a promotional screen for "youtube enhancer", and then the list of all the machines I am supposedly running FF on right now ( 7 or so ), which is not correct, I am only running it on one win11 machine at the moment.

I had to reset my computer. Then when tried to sync my mozilla data. Maybe because I had to change my password due it was in my computer's passwords key (I didn't memorize it, my bad). I'm worry because I'm a ebay's seller and all the bookmarks are so important for my store due there are info of my items future sales. So I'm so sad and desperate. I recently had my computer serviced and when i got it back the firefox version I had was removed. I redownladed and entered my gmail and my passwords and bookmarks did not restore

Im locked out of my sync. I thought i had the pass word saved away but now iv spent over 24 hour combing old pass words to try and get it write. some please help me.

Greetings.... Somehow a page (see uploaded image) continually appears in Firefox with "Sync Firefox on your phone or tablet", showing it is 33% complete. I'm guessing this process was started by accident since I don't use a cell phone except for GPS, but it also says tablet... so who knows.

The top of the page says "Tab pickup". I cannot stop this page from constantly appearing and can only get rid of it by shutting down my computer. Please help me get rid of this. I have downloaded several articles but not sure what they are talking about and afraid to do something that could make something else worse. This is so very frustrating. Non-techie, no kids, grand kids... 81 years old with no one to ask. Love using firefox but this problem makes it very challenging. Why can't I sync computer bookmarks to iPhone? I can't get my iPhone to show up on list of connected devices. I've tried everything in Help. I have a Mozilla Account. Running 135.0.1

From the Firefox Start Page on my iPhone (running 18.3.1) . . . the menu in the bottom right hand corner does not give me the option to "Sync and Save Data". This is a roadblock for me! I'm not a computer genius but I'm not completely ignorant. I've just gone through having to reinstall windows due to 24H2 and I've got Firefox back thankfully.

My problem is that the sync account has created another device name (as I hadn't restarted after renaming the computer).

Can I get my old device profile back and discard the new one?

Can I just uninstall firefox then reinstall now the computer has been renamed after a restart?

I installed firefox on my new pc before trying to follow the guide to syn my histry, passwords etc and nothing happens when I click the gmail link I sent it to except it tries to install over the top of the new version. Should I let it do that or uninstall the older version from my new PC?
