I am facing issue while downloading files in Firefox Private Browsing. Whenever I download my PDF files, as soon as I close the browser window, the files also get deleted automatically. What should I do to rectify this issue.

How do I stop firefox from automatically downloading files from the internet when I click on them - without even asking me if I want to download them in the first place. In "Applications", selecting "Always Ask" in "Choose how firefox handles files etc" does not work. Firefox never asks. If it cannot be disabled, I will have to stop using Firefox.

I'm using the current version of Firefox 124.0.1 (64-bit). I recently noticed that when I print -- there's no webpage title or URL address with date on the bottom even when I have checked and selected print headers/footers before printing. Is this a bug? Can you please help me? Thank you.

After Ubuntu updated the GPU driver, Firefox stopped rendering and only works when disabling hardware acceleration. See screenshot attached. I'm using ubuntu/ RTX4090 and nvidia-driver-535 (propietary, tested). Attaching the apt upgrade logs that caused this to happen. Firefox is the only application that suffers from this.

Is there any fix happening soon for this?

How do I perform very basic editor functions like add/remove/move a page in the new Firefox PDF document editor? I am in the Mainstream Firefox 124.0.1 64-bit. Thank You, David

I am an 84-year-old newbie! I have enabled 2 FA. But... when I click on Firefox in the taskbar F/fox opens and I can access all the bookmarks in the bookmark bar without any more security.

When does the 2FA come into this?

Reply to zeroknight - 2. I use Bitwarden for my password manager. When I disabled it I was able to access Regions. All my other logins seem to be working OK. Maybe a Bitwarden update will fix the problem. Anyway, I know what the problem is now.

I noticed that a couple of times when I click on an external link on a mail or a bookmarked site as icon on my mac, Firefox closes all the tabs and open that link in a new window, so I lose all the tabs and address... Sometime I have more than 30 tabs open and i't difficult to reopen all from history. What happen? Why? I can't see also the "restore last session" command into History menu. Can be fix it? On my Windows-11 Laptop, the Vertical-Scroll-Bars in Firefox are too narrow for me to use comfortably. I am struggling with the Touch-Pad, Mouse Pointers, causing the frequently needed act of Scrolling to become a dreaded ordeal? Since the last Firefox update I cannot access my banking web site. I access this site almost daily. It is Regions Online Banking. It will not accept my username either by copy and paste or by typing it in. By not accepting it I mean the login space remains blank. I disconnected from my VPN, no change. I was able to access the site normally using MS Edge.

I am running Windows 11, 64-bit.

Any help would be appreciated.

I deleted the site cookies and disabled tracking protection with no success, however, I was able to login in trouble shooting mode. I went back to normal mode but was still unable to login. Is there anything I can do to correct the problem?

Reply to zeroknight. Disabling the extensions did the trick. I only have five extensions so I'll just go through them one at a time until I find the culprit.

I am setting up a new mac computer (Mac book Air M3 with Sonoma 14.3). I have installed Video Download Helper. The icon appears in the Applications folder and the Dock, but not in the Firefox toolbar. How can I get the icon back? Many thanks.

Running Firefox 124.0.1 (64bit) on my Windows 10 Version 10.0.19045 Build 19045. Every time I open Firefox, it closes within a couple of seconds and then reopens by itself and keeps working. How can I fix this glitch?

A few weeks ago I saw an Mozilla ad for a new Mozilla software product that cleaned up your PC and made it run better. The price was around $125.00 (I don't remember that exact price). It said that I would receive an email from Mozilla with download instructions. it's been a few weeks and I have not gotten any email. Does anyone know if Mozilla offers any such software or did I get scammed? I'm pretty good about seeing scams but Ive used Firefox and Mozilla for years and trust them. Maybe that's why I wasn't as careful as I should have been.

In the appdata\roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xyz\storage\archives folder there are 2 folders, \0 and \default. They contain over 500MB between them and are not cleared out by removing all website data (it did clear out Storage/Default). Can the content of these 2 folders be deleted? The \0 folder contains 30 folders with dates for the folder name ranging from 2022-01-16 to 2023-10-26 for a total of 115 MB. The \default folder contains over 1000 folders dated from today back to 2017 for a total of 475 MB. The names of the folders in \default are variations of websites visited and pages I have saved elsewhere (https++++www.xyz.com and file++++c++doc+ etc.)

I have been using Windows 10 with Firefox browser and Google/Gmail for many months. I also have been using Norton 360 and other Norton programs for many years. A few days ago, I updated Norton Utilities Ultimate and after update ran it for standard options. Before that update, I could start Google and still be signed in and start Gmail and still be signed in. Now, whenever I close Gmail or Google, I have to sign in whenever I start Google/Gmail. I tried to get help from Norton (see attached chat printout), but they said it was not a Norton problem and to contact Google. When I researched the problem with Google, it indicated that the problem was related to cookies but did not help correct it. I tried Firefox Help and could not find any useful information. I then changed to Google Chrome browser; that works and I can start and stop Google and Gmail and remain signed in. If I go back to Firefox, I still have to sign in every time I start Google.
