While this is a Privacy and Security setting issue - at least tangentially - my question isn't about security so much as how this data is being stored/retrieved.

I navigated to an entirely new site the other day and it requested a username and password. When the cursor was in the Username field, a set of proposed entries showed up. These were all (recognizable) first names - not emails. When I checked the Privacy and Security settings, I couldn't find any of the names in stored data. While this may be just cached entries for similar fields ("username" or "name" etc...), the list I saw was heavily curated. One of the names I don't ever recall even entering in any name field (and wouldn't have been used for any login) - but even if I had, the list that I saw was far from exhaustive and would only have been a very specific subset of any data I would have entered into any "name" or "username" field.

Is there somewhere I can find how that list was generated?

Firefox doesn't work with power management. It essentially turns the screen off and then sends the laptop to sleep when watching videos (in full screen). I have tried to disable hardware acceleration, but it didn't fix my problem. I am on 124.0.1 version - flatpack version on fedora, as the actual fedora version from "discover" app center cannot play videos at all. I am running on fedora 39, kde plasma, wayland.

I have been using Windows 10 with Firefox browser and Google/Gmail for many months. I also have been using Norton 360 and other Norton programs for many years. A few days ago, I updated Norton Utilities Ultimate and after update ran it for standard options. Before that update, I could start Google and still be signed in and start Gmail and still be signed in. Now, whenever I close Gmail or Google, I have to sign in whenever I start Google/Gmail. I tried to get help from Norton (see attached chat printout), but they said it was not a Norton problem and to contact Google. When I researched the problem with Google, it indicated that the problem was related to cookies but did not help correct it. I tried Firefox Help and could not find any useful information. I then changed to Google Chrome browser; that works and I can start and stop Google and Gmail and remain signed in. If I go back to Firefox, I still have to sign in every time I start Google. I had Firefox set to load 4 tabs when started. Something has changed recently and now it seems as if the same 4 sites keep repeating somehow. I have set the Home/Custom URLs to these 4 sites, but cannot prevent them to load again when already loaded.

I recently started using Firefox as my main browser after using Chrome for awhile, and I'm now running into trouble playing music on Spotify.

Every time I try to play a song on the browser version of Spotify, it cycles through several quickly without playing anything and eventually displays an error message that says: "Spotify can't play this right now. If you have the file on your computer you can import it."

I've seen others with similar issues (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1431659) but the suggested fixes aren't working for me. My Firefox is up-to-date, I have DRM controlled content enabled, as well as the Widevine Content Decryption Module.

Looking for any suggestions!

Safari has no problem with https://meijer.com, but Firefox flags it as untrustworthy and won't let me connect. I am using Avast! antivirus. Brave browser also works. I am using 124.0.1. I see there is a 124.0.2. I'll try that next.

I used to be able to access all bookmarks from the Library icon on the address toolbar. Now, it only shows a list of what it labels "recent bookmarks" (the bookmarks shown are really not recent). I would like to be able to open the Library and access all bookmarks, which is the way it used to work. I will attach a screen shot to illustrate what I mean.

Please help.

I have always loved Firefox. I started using it because it did not constrict the user to the limits of the narrow minded Microsoft Explorer (Edge). But, this latest update reminds me of what I came to Firefox for. I hope Firefox is not going to become the same way. This latest update (124.0.1) just didn't care about my bookmarks or extensions or anything. It just installed a new version and left it at that. I had several tabs open. Gone. I had several bookmarks. Gone. All extensions. Gone.

For a long time Firefox just updated and left all of those things in tact. What happened?? More importantly, does anyone know how to get these things back?

the Icons code on github in this file are not correct rendered in Firefox. If I use these icons in my terminal they will get rendered in the terminal.

I have now changed the language of my Firefox Browser to English. And indeed the main menu is now in English. But when I click with the right mouse button on an empty space and then choose "Inspect" to access the expert settings these settings are still in the previous language and haven't changed to English. What can I do?

My home screen and all other browsing screens are so high and wide that I can't scroll down because the side slide bar is not on the screen. I have no idea how this happened! I can't find any articles that help me reduce the screen size that I can understand. There seems to be no solution option in firefox settings to adjust the screen size. The View tab does not help because it just offers zooming of the data on the screen, not the actual size of the screen.

I am going to use Chrome and/or MS Edge until this screen size issue is resolve by firefox, and I may not come back to using firefox any more - including cancelling my subscription to Mozilla VPN.

Despite having logged into Which? via FireFox, and accepted all cookies I am asked again and again on every Which? page about cookies.

How can I stop this?

My bank tells me that my browser Mozilla, private browsing, is opening their website as a mobile site and needs to change it to a desktop site. I am missing some of the page content in the mobile mode. I can't find any settings in Mozilla menu that allows me to do that. What do I do? Thanks.

Reply to zeroknight - 2. I use Bitwarden for my password manager. When I disabled it I was able to access Regions. All my other logins seem to be working OK. Maybe a Bitwarden update will fix the problem. Anyway, I know what the problem is now.

Recently this month, watching Youtube videos has been a total chore on Firefox. Every so often, when I load up a video from Youtube, I get a blank player with no video in it. Every other aspect of the page template loads properly, but the video is just not there. The only fix for this is to clear my cookies and it's annoying to have to do this every week just to watch Youtube videos.

I've tried using other Firefox Forks, and they've had the same issue. I've used other browsers, specifically Chromium ones, and have not run into the same issues as of yet. I've isolated the problem down to my cookies, as deleting just the cache doesn't do it. Resetting the browser doesn't do it. Clearing my search history doesn't do it. Disabling all my addons doesn't do it. Signing in and out of my Youtube account doesn't work either. Any combination of all these fixes doesn't make the problem go away. The only thing that I've found to work is clearing my cookies.

Is there a way I can fix this? Please let me know ASAP.

On one laptop right-clicking on a tab gives me a Send tab to device option and when I click on it I get a message that the tab was sent. But the tab doesn't arrive on the other laptop. 2. Though I'm using the same version of Firefox on both laptops, I can only find the send tab option on one laptop because the menus are different. And many of the instructions I see online describe items on the menu that just don't show up. I know that I was once -- I don't know how long ago -- able to send a tab from one laptop to another. Most of the instructions are about sending from a phone to a desktop or vice versa. I hope someone can help. Thank you.

Whenever I try to Start or Open Camera for Video Call Firefox stops working. I don't if its because when i start a call a new Window pop ups. The Call in not dropping its just that It is not showing the video. So If Audio call only then its ok but when I start Video Call it crashes.

What I did to try yo fix: Reinstall Firefox Refresh Firefox Remove Extensions Sign out profile.

Lastly I Fresh Install my Windows OS. Then these again. Reinstall Firefox Refresh Firefox Remove Extensions Sign out profile. Installed Developer Firefox Still not working
