Microsoft have recovered my data, which is bookmarks etc from an action performed by a Microsoft engineer, who inadvertently wiped my laptop. The file isn't readable to Microsoft, but it contains all my Firefox bookmarks etc. Would be nice to have all my bookmarks back.

Is there a Mozilla support desk I can send this file so it can be 'translated' into a readable file? Thanks

I have noticed 3 new bookmarks I never added for 2 websites I've visited recently show up in my bookmarks bar.

I did a scan with Avast One (free version) and it says no viruses or malware found

Any thoughts on what's adding the 3 bookmarks?

GOOGLE SYNCED WITH MY FIREFOX AND REPLACED ALL OF MY BOOKMARKS AND i CANNOT GET THEM BACK AND THEY ARE FIREFOX SPECIFIC WITH PASSWORDS AND ALL. PLEASE FIX THIS. i HAVE TRIED MULTIPLE TIMES UNSUCCESSFULLY

When you use Google's Translator, this application automatically adds a link to Firefox's history each time you modify even a tiny bit of what you are translating.

This means that sometimes, you can add 1,000 links within a day when you incrementally translate a piece of text, what is the default way to do.

Today, two minutes of that work generated 40 links!

And that was only a small piece of text!

In my history, there are in between 50,000 of these, despite regularly deleting many of them.

Even on a relatively fast notebook, deleting 1,000 links in the history takes minutes.

I posted the problem to Google Translate as a feedback many times, but they never answered.

Is there a possibility within Firefox to selectively get rid of this permanent garbage?

That would be wonderful.

I trying to combine two similar but different boookmark lists on my Firefox browser but haven't been able to find a working solution. I could use some good advice where I don't need to download any sort of app.
