I am running macos 15.7.2.

Bought a faster external drive *named EXT3* and I copied my Firefox Profiles from EXT2 *previous External* to EXT3

I have added the location for the profile in /Users/username/Library/Application Support/Firefox/profiles.ini

So far so good, but when EXT2 is NOT mounted the profile won't start, but only when EXT2 is MOUNTED then the profile will start.

Also connectivity is broken then, with that I mean I can't open any sites, not even a local one.

When I look in About:profiles I see that the profile in EXT3 is active and in use.

Any idea what is going on?

I am using Dashlane for password protection. I have purchased The Nord VPN and now Nord wants to install NordPass seemingly for password protection. I don't want that so what do I do now?

I recently changed my preferences to allow web sites to choose their own fonts, but now that I’ve changed it back, Firefox refuses to use that font or any other that I choose. I’ve tried clearing the cache and cookies, logging out and then logging in again, quitting and restarting, etc., but it still doesn’t work.

What can be done about this problem that should never happen? I’m running Firefox 140.5 ESR on macOS 15.7.1, and my Privacy setting are set to Standard.

Any solutions out there?

I am using Mozilla as my default web browswer in Unix environment. It is great... except for a particular behavior of the browser window. When I middle click (MB2) the frame of the window, it doesn't go to the background, like all my other windows. Intead it opens a new tab (when I click at the top of the window). This is very annoying becaue I use MB2 /go to background all th etime. Any idea how to change that behavior and make it consistent with my general unix preference? I got a random pop up on Firefox that I clicked without fully reading it, which closed Firefox and then prompted me for the administrator password (aka the password of that account on my laptop) so Firefox can install a helper tool. I did, and it did nothing. Every time I try to open Firefox I get the same pop up prompt and no matter how many times I give the password nothing happens, and I can't open the application. Clicking cancel on the prompt also does nothing.

I logged onto a different account on my laptop and can use Firefox like normal, but none of my settings/bookmarks/passwords from my other Mac account are saved here.

I would just delete and reinstall Firefox on the administrator account that is having this issue, but I don't know if I have anything properly backed up on Firefox, and I have a ton of things saved on there that I really don't want to lose. What do I do? Please help :(
