As the title implies, I am unable to open any local files on Firefox. The tab just keeps loading forever and using up all available memory until it crashes the tab. (the browser still remains operational, since the crashing process is a child process of the main browser)

I took a look at the process in GDB and it looks like it's hanging in `read () at /usr/lib/libpthread.so.0`, called from libxul.so. (possibly a spinlock, since it also grinds one of my cpu cores down) I've checked and this problem is not related to my profile, settings, or extensions.

I'm at a complete loss for what to do now to fix this, since I don't have the time or disk space to build a full debug build of Firefox and figure out what's going on.

Why add-ons won't start with Firefox? Every time I need to manually disable and enable extensions Privacy Badger, uBlockOrigin (Privacy out of the box extensions) for it to be working, that is, they don't work upon start up. I have deleted the .mozilla folder in my Linux machine to reset firefox and it starts with add-ons only one time; when starting a second time, add-ons don't appear in the toolbar yet they are "enabled" but not working. As previously stated, I need to enable them manually.

I am trying to use a program (video display) and when I press the button to allow adobe flash I get a very small long thing and an error that says something like "#error 3409" I have re-installed it. My addons say that I have shockwave flash installed. I have installed adobe flash several times with the same result. Perhaps I should remove shockwave flash and install again. I have no clue.

Thank you................

In seems in the last month, the ability to open links in a new tab by middle-clicking has been removed by default. I was able to get it to work in Windows (but I don't remember how), but not in Ubuntu. I've got browser.tabs.opentabfor.middleclick set to true in the about:config. I've also tried restarting with all the add-ons disabled.

In settings I've found font settings. My default font is DejaVu (Serif, Sans, Mono)

After changing font (type and size) noting is going on. Even after restart. I disabled option to let wep pages set their own font.

The most important thing for me is to have working "Minimal font size".

To sum up. I can change everything in advanced font settings but there is no result on web pages.

Due to printer software I am forced to migrate family laptop from linux mint to windows 10 Both systems use version 82.0 (64bit), firefox just got installed on fresh windows 10 install, I opened it browsed a little to create history files and closed to swap it with linux history/passwords/tabs/bookmarks But in windows 10 firefox seem to have different file structure, and didn't recognize old version Have file structure changed or there are steps I missed or (unlikely) I messed up with file location, main mozilla/firefox folder path is still there

Will online synchronization of firefox just be as good as hard file copy from one system from another? I think this might be easiest, yet not perfect solution

This problem occurred Oct 24, 2020 Australian Eastern Daylight Savings Time (3 weeks after daylight savings time came into effect here). The operating system time is correct. I have cleared the cache several times, rebooted and shut down overnight.

A forum site is displaying the correct times. A site displaying weather information uses the correct time; I loaded it just after 3am and the first time it displayed was 6am as expected.

1. A TV guide normally highlights in red programs currently showing; at present it shows programs showing one hour previously. In Google-Chrome no programs are highlighted. I have removed the cookies and that has made no difference. 2. Facebook.com times are one hour late, both the time of posts in the newsfeed and times of notifications.

Hi, I have been using Ubuntu Mate, for some time now, since the latest installed versions, Firefox is unable to print the invoices generated by the revenue agencies site. The print is generated empty, it only shows the details of the site and some accessory data at the top. I tried to install an old version, 78, if I remember correctly, and the prints are fine. I tried with another browser and the printouts are correct, again. Does it happen to you too?
