Unable to properly sign in to RBC (Royal Bank of Canada) online banking since install of the latest Firefox release 72.0.1. Windows 10, up to date. Other sites work. Chrome can access RBC ok. No error messages, it just doesn't get through the bank security protocol for some reason via Firefox. Sits with a blank screen.

I just purchased a new computer. I am trying to restore my browser bookmarks. I followed the steps to create bookmark folders. I clicked on the bookmarks icon, scrolled down to the "show all bookmarks" link thus opening the "Library" window. I then created the folders I wanted under "Bookmarks Menu" but they do not appear in the bookmarks listing.

For YEARS I had been relying on Firefox not only to clear "history" but also to clear the cache immediately when I exit Firefox. Recently started having major problems with running ANYTHING after streaming some video. Complained to the streaming web site but then realized it might be that Firefox had been changed somehow with all its "updates". When I looked into Firefox cache clearing I discovered there was already 1.0 Gigabytes of garbage in my cache from a very brief video streaming access following from a warm reboot of my computer needed to get anything at all to run properly. Downloaded the apparent "new" addon called "ClearCache" but wanted to check whether my guess is correct that the years functional cache clearing has now been separated out and that the new addon will solve my operational problem after streaming video.

How to print out my passwords in Firefox? I need to migrate user names and passwords for various web sites to a new computer

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1253828 does not seem to work because the caret (») is not visible in Firefox 72.0.2 (64-bit) that is on my machine. This is most annoying. Firefox and T'Bird are the most difficult software to migrate to new computers.

I need the export as a CVS. The other approaches either don't allow copy and paste or they are JSON and I have no clue how rto use that.

The other angle: logins.json (passwords) and key4.db (58+) for Passwords saved in the Password Manager I don't see a way to get that into a spreadsheet.

It is particularly annoying because there is an import function but no export function. I have over 300 web site user names and passwords. Hours and hours of work to just copy one at a time.

Hi I attached this to an already solved question and I'm afraid I won't get a response. After update to 72.0.1 Tabs merged with Bookmarks Toolbar. The solved solution of new text for the userChrome.css file doesn't work. The userChrome.css text jdevlin supplied does not work on my Firefox. I had to create a new chrome folder as this update seems to have deleted it. I pasted the text into the userChrome.css but there was no change. What am I doing wrong?

Really need help on this, Firefox is practically unusable like this.

Thanks!

Hi, I hope you're having a wonderful day, and I hope someone can help me with this.

3 days ago, I accidentally press a hotkey, then the web page becomes smaller, and has empty space around it (screenshot: https://ibb.co/RQ74q3Z ). I attached the screenshot below, too. This doesn't affect other web pages. When I open the same page from my other computer, it happens the same way. I tried [ctrl +] and [ctrl -], but it only changes the font size and doesn't make the space go away.

Thank you for your help.

When using the "Checkout with PayPal" button on websites the PayPal popup window appears however it's impossible to progress to the checkout.

When OneTouch is activated, the text 'Securely logging you in...' appears overlayed with the spinning wheel in the popup window. This continues indefinitely.

When this is not activated the window doesn't progress further after entering the email as prompted by the window and pressing Next.

It's possible to login to PayPal in a separate tab however that doesn't influence the popup behaviour.

Looking at the console in the popup there are a few 'Unable to find window by ref window.js:148:14' errors.

In the 'host' window where the popup was called from the console displays the 'Failed to execute ‘postMessage’ on ‘DOMWindow’: The target origin provided (‘https://www.paypal.com’) does not match the recipient window’s origin (‘https://www.paypal.com’).' error.

I believe this could be a recent issue because I was able to make several payments last month with all settings the same. I have a separate user.js file that I keep my settings in (I can send it over if required). These settings have not been changed since the file has been created.

The following actions have been tried and didn't improve the situation:

- refreshing the current profile

- disabling all addins

- adding paypal.com into exclusions for 'Block pop-up windows' and Enhanced Tracking Protection

- cleaning History and cookies

I then launched Firefox with a separate 'clean' profile and was able to make the payment successfully. Sure enough, importing my user.js file broke PayPal. I went through the settings commenting them out by groups.

The following setting was causing the issue:

user_pref("privacy.firstparty.isolate", true);

Setting it to 'false' made the PayPal popup window work correctly again.

Thought that this would be helpful for anyone experiencing similar issues. Cheers.

I had previously posted the "Why doesn't Firefox provide the option of tabs below menu bar?" at: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1276795

I believed that the issue was solved by cor-el at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1274416#answer-1279083

However, I have since discovered that this fix does not work in Private Browsing mode. Tabs still overlap the bookmark toolbar as they did with regular browsing before applying the aforementioned fix.

Does anyone have a modification to the userChrome.css file or tabs-on-bottom.css file referred to earlier which will place tabs below the menu/bookmark toolbar when using Private Browsing as well?

Thanks to anyone reading this. I depend on several Firefox addons for my livelihood and need them to work.

The problem: Only a select few of my addons work after installing a parallel (older) version of firefox in a separate Program Files folder I called "Firefox 49.02. (why I wanted to do that: there is a specific iMacros version and some scripts that only work with 49.02, and I wanted to use FF 49.02 to run that version of iMacros while I wasn't using the regular updated version (i.e. FF 72).

I didn't expect my current addons to work in FF 49, so I wasn't surprised when they were disabled for that version.

BUT when opening the latest, FF 72, virtually all my addons were also disabled!

All disabled addons, except for 3 of them (out of almost 100), don't even have a blue switch or a way to enable them, even in the context menu, or the manage page (where you can enable auto-updates and see author details and home page etc.).

I ran a "Check for updates" for all addons, and a couple managed to update and enable, though I'm not sure if they were ones that had a switch.

I've attached a screenshot of the addons page showing some without an enable option beside a couple that do.

Note: All these addons worked flawlessly in this prior to installing FF 49

I've searched everywhere but everything is so saturated with fixing the "disabled addons certificate" problems that happened for everyone who *upgraded*. In my case, I installed a parallel downgraded version and the addon's won't work in either version.

Hope things are clear, sorry if I repeated my self. Please let me know any more information needed I am desperately seeking a solution for this.

My location in eBay keeps changing. It doesn't matter how many times I change it just resets to an old postcode. I removed this address from my eBay account, and I've cleared cookies in Mozilla but it keeps resetting. I've tried signing out of my Mozilla account and reinstalling Mozilla but it is still doing it. I'm pretty sure that Mozilla has stored the address somewhere but I have no idea how to get rid of it. It's been like this for two years now.

Thanks.
