Hello All,

I am trying to import passwords & logins from a .csv file to FF version 82.0 I have enabled "import from a file" option and have a .csv file which I exported from FF version 81.0 I believe. I click on import from a file and browse to the file, click Open, and the dialog box disappears, BUT, the passwords don't appear in FF Lockwise, even after I restart FF. Makes me want to switch to Chrome when crap like this happens, or rather doesn't happen. Any help and advice gratefully received.

TIA, Dave.

Due to printer software I am forced to migrate family laptop from linux mint to windows 10 Both systems use version 82.0 (64bit), firefox just got installed on fresh windows 10 install, I opened it browsed a little to create history files and closed to swap it with linux history/passwords/tabs/bookmarks But in windows 10 firefox seem to have different file structure, and didn't recognize old version Have file structure changed or there are steps I missed or (unlikely) I messed up with file location, main mozilla/firefox folder path is still there

Will online synchronization of firefox just be as good as hard file copy from one system from another? I think this might be easiest, yet not perfect solution

Hi, Firefox desktop for win 10: Firefox works with this one exception... I downloaded two "self extracting" files from Nikon. When I double click on either or any file of this type using firefox, I get "some installation files are corrupt, please re-download" If I use Microsoft edge, the same files work, provided I select "unblock" in the files properties tab. (yes I do this for ff files too)

This did not happen months ago and I'm sure this is because Microsfot has changed something, which needs all browsers to adapt to. Thx

Hi,

I have reinstalled my Debian, keeping of course my `/home`. New Firefox version is `68.12.0esr`. A new profile has been created, but I need the old one which I can set as default in the profile manager at the url `about:profiles`, but Firefox tells me "Using an older version of Firefox can corrupt bookmarks and browsing history.....". So, it seems I need to install the same version of Firefox I had before, but I don't know which one it was, and I would like to avoid to make many trials.

Is there a mean to know which Firefox version is associated to a given profile?

There is no indication of progress while a webpage is downloading. I'm looking for something like the rotating hour glass, or a rotating circle of dots. Only when the process is done do we get the page's icon on the tab. As it is, I never know if my request to open a webpage is working or if the computer has locked up. It must have changed with the latest update because, although I can't remember exactly how Firefox previously indicated loading in progress, I instantly noticed the LACK of it as soon as I booted up the newest version.

Thank you.

Free YouTube to MP3 Converter starts Microsoft Edge although Firefox is defined as Browser. Only an Uninstall of Microsoft Edge ends that behaviour. But after next update Edge is again installed and again Edge is started, what I don't want. Have you the possibility to avoid that? I don't know, where that behaviour can be ended.
