Hi,
Firefox reports an incorrect timezone (UTC), despite `privacy.resistFingerprinting` being false. (None of the settings underneath `privacy` have been changed.
The clearest example is here: https://browserspy.dk/date.php (screenshot attached). Another browser (epiphany) reports the correct timezone on that page.
I have tested the following versions: - Mozilla Firefox 102.11.0esr - Mozilla Firefox 113.0 - Mozilla Firefox 113.0b9
It persists under `--safe-mode`, in Private Browsing mode and despite being signed into a firefox account or not.
uname -a: Linux s 6.3.4 #1-NixOS SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Wed May 24 16:30:25 UTC 2023 x86_64 GNU/Linux
timedatectl, displays correct timezone
I'm at a loss at how to proceed and debug this, every search leads back to privacy.resistFingerprinting, but as mentioned this isn't the case here.

Hello,
My bank's website has a 2 page verification process for logging on. The first page is for the User ID and the second page is for the password.
Until just a few days ago, I could enter the first letter of my User ID into my bank's website login field, and FF would auto-fill the rest. Now when I enter that first letter, nothing happens. I then have to look up this info before I can continue. Luckily, the second page (for the password) is working just fine.
If I remember correctly, there has been a recent FF update. This new update may be the source of this issue.
Please help!
Thanks, Andre'a

There does not seem to be a way to tell the browser to ignore the security requirement for all pages in this website.

Hello
Noticed in the last few days I cannot change the proxy settings. Use to be able to. I am on the latest version of Firefox as of today. Try to run Firefox as an administrator but still greyed out. Not sure what is causing this. This is on Windows 10 and a 11 device. Do not have any GPO for firefox. Any idea how to find out what is causing it or ho wto fix it?

Hi, Firstly, I'm fairly new to this - so apologies if I don't describe this very well, or leave out any obvious info....
We use PKI certs generated by a third party - and I'm in the process of installing the Vsphere v7 certificate. We've got a process which I've followed once before and been fine. But this time, after I install the certificate, Firefox gives me a "SEC_ERROR_CERT_NOT_IN_NAME_SPACE" error. The only other Browser we have on our system is IE. When I entered the url of the Vsphere server, in IE - it did give me the Vsphere login screen OK. When I clicked on the padlock in the address bar, the new certificate was there, complete with its chain (Root CA and intermediate) and the dates were as expected. So it look like the PKI cert install has worked. However, I need it to work in Firefox. I'm a bit out of ideas. I did find this post:
But when I checked the Permitted name constraints of our intermediate CA, the expected domain was in there, so I assumed that wasn't the issue (if I've understood this correctly). Any thoughts would be much appreciated. Thanks.

If I put any input in the prompts, it goes away, but if the machine is rebooted, the prompts begin again. How do I permanently stop firefox from asking for the username and password?

Im using Firefox desktop version 113 with win 7 Browser will not save logins or passwords either saved by me manually or by importing from chrome.
Below you will see the screen from my settings after saving. Strangely, I do get the prompt to save them. See other image below.
I do not want to use sync. I only want firefox to store this locally as the earlier versions did without any issues.
Thanks

Hello:
I'm getting older and my vision is deteriorating. I'm at a stage where I'm having significant difficulty getting past the captcha challenges in more and more websites. When I complain to the websites, they're telling me that they don't control the captcha but that's its hosted and run by my browser.
I need to disable the visual tik-tak-toe picture captcha challenge in my FireFox browser... and replace it with anything else. If I'm not able to stop or replace these captcha's coming up in FireFox way too frequently now... I'm going to have to stop using the browser and switch over to another brand that's handling these security challenges differently.
Can you help me stay on the FireFox browser at this time?
Thanks your your attention & help.

On the operating system of windows where the Mozilla browser is installed, we desire to disable user access to all settings so that they can't be accessed. I already generated a working policies.json file but user can still access settings.
Then I put the file local-settings.js in the "firefox_application_folder/defaults/prefs/" with the following text // pref("general.config.obscure_value", 0); // only needed if you do not want to obscure the content with ROT-13 pref("general.config.filename", "mozilla.cfg");
Then I put the file mozilla.cfg in the firefox application folder with the following text // lockPref(); // lock pref, disallow changes
Firefox (v. 113.0.2) returns the following error message: Netscape.cfg/AutoConfig failed. Please contact system administrator. Error: lockPref failed: [Exception... Hello,
I use Firefox at work and at home on the family computer. To have the possibility to access business data at home, I created a login for my business browser settings. If I micc now from home with my Firfox business account log in and log out again opens the next time Firefox from home automatically the browser with the start tabs of the business. This also after restarting the PC. I want to avoid this at all costs. How can I make the browser accessible to my family again, so that the usual tabs are displayed at startup and we do not need an extra password for the family browser?
Kind Regards
Frank

I am in the US. In the list of Search Shortcuts in firefox preferences, amazon is listed and used to be simply amazon.com. At some point it switched itself to amazon.de...Now anytime I go to amazon, I land on the German version. Yes, I use a vpn, but I never personally set the search shortcut to amazon.de. It happened without my permission. And I'd like to edit it back to the US version but there does not seem to be a way to Add the correct version without installing an extension which should be unnecessary. I can remove the wrong version of course, but then how to add the correct version and prevent it from switching without my permission?
I am on a mac, high sierra, firefox 113.0.2
Thank you.
