Ref Firefox Ver 84.0.1 OS > Win 7-64 Dear Firefox Support,

I have already contacted MS support about the subject issue and they were no help.

I am trying to find out what is causing the issue and how to get rid of it.

I can't be sure but it may be caused by a Microsoft "START" App. The issue appeared

to begin about two weeks ago, so it's obviously caused by something new, which may be Microsoft related. Below is Dropbox link to a screen capture of the issue.

Any tips for ridding my PC / Firefox browser of the issue will be greatly appreciated.
And thank you for the superb browser.

Best regards, Ken Boardman > elsmoko@cox.net

Hello, i would like to report that every newer version of Firefox Browser after version 84 periodically freezes (hangs), the freeze continues indefinitely, until i shut down the browser with Task Manager. In version 85, support in Mozilla Firefox for Flash was discontinued as far as i know, so this may have some connection with the problem. The freezes happen (occasionally) when i try to open some of the menus, such as history, help, view, edit, file, etc.

The issue gets fixed when hardware acceleration is disabled, so this may have something to do with a lack of Firefox compatibility in its newest versions with the video driver. Unfortunately, the browser becomes too slow and laggy when HA is disabled, so this is not a working solution for me.

Using older video drivers also does not help, the issue occurs only with Firefox Browser versions after 84. I do not have such issues with other browsers.

Config:

Windows 7 64 bit Video card Nvidia GT 750 Titanium

The problem occurs with Firefox Browser - all versions after 84, plus with all drivers for the video card

I never get the same problem with the same hardware on Win 10 (it is a dual boot computer with Win7 and Win10 OS). There newer versions of Firefox work normally.

So if you have time, please forward this report to the Mozilla bug fix team.

Just recently Firefox started to display a "Loading..." message in the middle of every page I go to in Breitbart.com (doesn't happen in any other website).

It appears about 2 seconds AFTER the page loads or press F5. The background goes dark suggesting it's modal. It lasts for about 1 second and then goes away and everything appears normal.

I've been told this is a Cloudflare anti-DDoS CDN protocol issue, but I'm not so sure of that.

I've started up in Clean Mode and get the same behavior.

TIA

Not sure when it happened, but some of the information for an installed add-on is missing. There is no author link or a homepage link. When I search the mozilla add-ons website I can't find the add-on anymore.

This is the add-on name and version:

Downloader for Instagram™ 1.0.4 June 3, 2020

I don't know why the Mozilla add-ons website doesn't detect what add-ons the user has installed when you search. That would be very helpful and why it isn't a default feature is dumb.

You have users sign in to the add-on account, why not include that feature to make things easier.

I'm guessing the solution is remove the add-on and hope another one can do what I installed the other add-on for.

I noticed the icon for this add-on appears in the overflow area of the toolbar. When I click on the icon it opens a link to a page that no longer exists when I search Google and the wayback machine archive site.

Firefox should find out if this happens and notify users that an add-on is defunct.

Anyway, here's the website associated with the add-on.

I'm sitting here looking at a website that's supposed to have an auto-renewing Let's Encrypt certificate that expired yesterday; the site is serving with active HSTS and an expired cert.

The loss of the VPN software is critical; we need this to work expired certificate or not. (Yes I can tell the difference between an expired cert and a forgery.)

Since the last update from Firefox to my tablet (Windows 10), the on-screen keyboard is displayed briefly when you select it in the toolbar, but then disappears again immediately, making an entry impossible! This phenomenon only occurs with Firefox, all other browsers and programs work perfectly with the on-screen keyboard!

I am continuing to have issues going to this web site. www.goldtonemusicgroup.com/goldtone. Works great on chrome but firefox fails miserably. The page needs to be downsized and when you click on a link it may open it but it may be behind it but I am never able to get to it. I think possibly the last update something must have messed up. I used to be able to load it but not anymore. I have to use another browser to work with this web site. Other web sites seem to be ok. Thanks for any info.

I have open half a dozen or so tabs related to one subject. I would like to put them all into one "super tab", such that only the super tab shows as an open tab. Then, by clicking on that tab, it would show the tabs within it, any one or more of which could be selected. Is this possible, and if so how is it done? Perhaps there's an add-on or extension that would do this.

I have already created a multi-tab bookmark that sorta, maybe accomplishes the same thing. But it's not as convenient as what I envision as described above.

Thanks for any advice or words of wisdom.
