Caused by malware or spyware on your computer, there isn't much Mozilla can do to prevent that stuff from being installed.
You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:
- Microsoft Safety Scanner
- MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware
- TDSSKiller - AntiRootkit Utility
- Hitman Pro
- ESET Online Scanner
Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one.
Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

It is best to use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed a maximum file size of 1 MB.
Then use the Browse .... button below the Post a Reply text box to upload the screenshot.

Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page, and look for a good pop-up blocker. There are also other add-ons that can be set to block web sites as you choose.
I used MalwareBytes free
http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free/
The solution was to download the free version but, do not run it yet.
After downloading I first updated the program then, before running it, I rebooted my computer in safe mode no networking by pressing the F 8 key on restart .
Then, while in safe mode I also unplugged from internet and ran a full system scan. After scan was complete I checked all malware that was found and clicked on removed th 37 sites. They are now in quarantine. After reboot in normal mode I ran again while plugged in to internet but but MalwareBytes found nothing.
So far,,, I've had no more problems I will delete the 37 from MalwareBytes quarantine in a few days if there is no problem.
All that worked for me. Eric Wilkins Check out my novel entitled Ancient Nemesis - Journey to Pluto
