I have to move my mouse for pages on Firefox to open for me, and I have tried everything.
So far I have tried starting in Firefox Safe-mode (I don't use any add-ons). I went back to all original Firefox settings. I fully uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox. I did a close to four hour scan for viruses. And of course, I have fully shut down everything and started back up again and cleared my online files and cookies. Nothing is working. This does not happen on Internet Explorer, just on Firefox.

hey, just to keep you updated - there is now a fix available for firefox 25, which should address the particular problem of pages not loading unless the mouse is moved.
if you have downgraded to firefox 24 to work around the issue, please go to firefox > options > advanced > update and turn automatic updates back on. then go to firefox > help > about firefox which should trigger the update to firefox 25.0.1. in case you need to download the setup file for firefox 25.0.1 separately you can do so from https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/channel/#firefox

hello, i'll attach the sequence of events i'm getting after double-clicking on start-l10n.bat & typing in mozregression --good=2013-07-29 --bad=2013-08-01 & hitting enter:
- it takes a bit & then there is a line named downloading & installing appearing
- a browser window is opening were i can play around and test if the error is appearing.
- when i close the browser window and change back to the terminal i can type in "good" or "bad" depending if the bug is present and then it will continue at 1.
Great Philipp - that's what I was looking for. It is running now.

Something went wrong in the installation. I let the $ prompt sit for about 9 hours or so yesterday and nothing happened. ...... ???

hey, sorry that it didn't work out like intended, normally it should just take a few minutes. however the good news is that in another thread we apparently confirmed which exact change caused the issue in firefox 25 - so this rendering issue should already be on the right track to getting fixed!

Great. Sorry it didn't wok on my end. something must have gone wrong in the install, but good to know that someone found the issue.

Hello, I'm the Firefox dev who broke this. Sorry about that. I'm looking into a proper fix now. It would be really useful to know what version of Windows you are using if you've had this problem. Thanks!
ncameron - I'm using Windows XP SP3
Don't feel bad. I'm an ex-programmer, broken things several times in my programming life. What counts is that you find your errors and fix them as needed. <grin>

Hello All,
Whoever is dealing with it, it is still occurring. I have all updates, v25, I actually have to restart my PC every morning now, to get the Mozilla up and running and it is still not working.
It has been a few weeks now, and seriously unacceptable any longer.
Firefox Team, any advise on the issue?
regards
tom
Hello,
This is unfortunately a known regression in firefox 25 that is affecting a small portion of users, for reference please refer to BugID 933733.
Your best option is probably to stay with Firefox 24 at the moment until the issue gets resolved...
Install an older version of Firefox
Someone will also post back to this thread when the bug is resolved.
