why is 'always show the tab bar' option now merely an add-on?

I can't find an explanation to justify the removal of the 'hide tab bar' option. Can you guys explain your reasons for doing this?

There are compelling practicalities why the hide tab option was better integrated. As far as I can see demoting the option to add-on status smacks of 'policy' rather than a deep concern for usability.

I don't really care if my question annoys or inconveniences because other users have already complained about this. I'm more worried that no-one from Mozilla can be sufficiently bothered to explain why they wanted to dispose of the option, in order to limit choice and add to user frustration.

hello sem101, most users in this forum are volunteers, so we cannot speak for mozilla authoritatively. the option seems to have been removed as preparation for a coming redesign with the codename australis. more is explained in bug #855370 (please don't post in bug reports)...

Since when does any software publisher have to "justify" what they do with their product to anyone?
Just be thankful that a 3rd party developer created that extension.

Mozilla isn't a democracy or a republic where users can "vote"about anything; Mozilla is a meritocracy.

You are not going to say that to me in the open forum. Take this to PM, as my last response to you was made. This forum isn't for a personal vendetta's.
