You should take a look at this article that discusses some of the issues with the latest build of Firefox.

There is some information in there that should help you to resolve your issue. Luckily, it is a very easy fix.

The link you refer to says "page not found" so it doesn't help at all. I did see one "fix" that says to type some info in the location area but on a Mac you can not get into that because it is a closed drop down menu. So I still don't see a fix. Is Mozilla ever going to fix this problem?
