My home page with the restore session was overwritten. What is the address of the start page?

Ask.com overwrote my home page. I need the address so I can move it back to the firefox home page with the restore session button. I tried reinstalling firefox but that didn't work.

You can also try to reset the browser.startup.homepage_override.mstone pref on the about:config page.

Hi,

You should take a look at the Knowledge Base article How to set the home page. Your homepage might have been changed by Ask.com. Sites like MSN, Yahoo, Ask.com, etc have been know to ask to become your homepage.

There are steps in that article to reset your homepage preferences to default. I would try that first to clear out any strangeness. If that works, you can try setting your homepage again to:

about:home

If that doesn't work you should look at the article Preferences not saved.

Hopefully this helps!
