Website elements out of alignment
I have a new computer, new install of firefox, there are some webpages that do not have the correct alignment. As if there is a compatibility issue. I'm a project manager for a web development company, and I have some websites where the alignment of elements, like 2 divs that should be right next to each other, are on top of one another. I have 4 other computers with 4, or more browsers on each (IE 6.0,7.0,8.0, FF, safari, chrome, opera), and none of them duplicate the issue. My clients and associates all can not duplicate it either. It's just this firefox on this new computer of mine.
Do you think I am missing something on the computer? Maybe a plug-in, or something like an updated .net framework? (i have win 7 64bit pro)

If you give an example of a site affected and a screenshot of the correct and the mis-aligned rendering maybe someone will recognise the problem & or be able to duplicate it.
Reset the page zoom on pages that cause problems: View > Zoom > Reset (Ctrl+0 (zero); Cmd+0 on Mac)
If you have increased the minimum font size then try the default setting 'none' as a high value can cause issues like you described.
- Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > Minimum Font Size (none)
- Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > [X] "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above"

What a poor response... FF5 formats webpages incorrectly. Alignment is totally messed from earlier versions. Attention to detail goes along way in the web design bus. View a page with ff3 then ff5. Obvious! Samples... Google is your friend there are thousands. I currently advise my clients that FF changes like the weather, and with that we never see a webpage the same.
Please fix it!!!

Firefox is rather flexible, because users may use different add-ons plugins, preferences, and of course different versions of Firefox any two users do not necessarily see the same thing. Any differences may however be more likely to be down to user changes than variation in Firefox version.
if you think you have noticed something important maybe you would like to start your own thread, provide samples of
- two or three sites where you see the problem
- the version of firefox involved
- the details of the setup used.
In fact if you are finding such problems it may help to post details with a screenshot from each firefox version in a separate thread, then cross post links.
You may know what problems you and your clients see but we, the readers of this thread, are not party to that information, if you are hoping for a fix it may help to share some of the information.
