Firefox is 'Not Responding', lags badly for a moment.

The above happens on a frequent basis all of a sudden. I have been using Firefox for many years and this is one of the first time this happened.

I suspect it is due to the add-on Feedly that I have installed not too long ago.. Need someone to double confirm if it can be the cause.

On a sidenote, i checked my Firefox process and it seemed to use an exorbitant amt of memory - 218k worth of memory under task manager . Is it normal ?

i also have this problem, i am currently using firefox 7.0.1 which is the latest as of now. i have also tried starting firefox in safe-mode and turning off all unnecessary plugins, add-ons and switching to the default theme.

i remember regularly experiencing this problem since firefox 4 but i am not sure.

the symptoms are exactly the same as above, but i do not have the add-on "feedly"

i am using windows 7 on a notebook with 1gb of memory, but i know it's not because of low memory because when firefox stops responding, i still have lots of free ram left.
