My geographical location is Philippines. How does Firefox know that? When I go to google.com, it automatically sends me to the tagalog google, which I can't use.
I don't care if it redirects me to google.com.ph, that's alright, and that's what IE6 does. But I want english version.

I also am located here in the Philippines. I have changed the homepage to "www.google.com/ncr" vice just "www.google.com". If I am correct I believe the "ncr" refers to "no country requested or required". But, at any rate, it works. So just change the homepage URL and you should be good to go.
I kinda like the google.com.ph because it gives me the choice of searching only within the Philippines, but firefox deletes that option no matter what language. The attached image is too small to read, but it's the IE6 google.com.ph, and directly below the search buttons it says "Search: O the web O pages from Philippines ", and you put a dot in the desired circle. The /ncr is useful.

ncr means "no country redirect".
Google has the habit to automatically redirect you to a page in the local language based on the location of your IP.
