Gmail can't compose, reply, forward. Also other corrupting on shopping sites.

Gmail can't function except to open and read messages, fine with IE. Also, getting weird info on shopping sites that are fine with IE (errors, crashes). Tried everything suggested in similar posts: updated plug ins, cleared cache, history, opened in safe mode, using default theme, disabled ALL extensions and add ons, in safe mode reset toolbars and controls, unistalled Firefox, reinstalled Firefox. This is really troubling. Thanks for any more suggestions. BP

Check a hidden preference, this one has been known to be the cause of problems with Gmail in Firefox 3.6.12

  1. Type about:config into the location bar and press enter
  2. Accept the warning message that appears, you will be taken to a list of preferences
  3. Locate the preference dom.storage.enabled - if it is set to false, double-click on it to change its value to true.

Thank you, however, that value already reads "true". I may just have to stop using Firefox : (
