Since a MS update in mid september 2910 Firefox 3.6 crashed everytime it went to a website (any web site).

I tried to unstall it -- it would not uninstall. I tried to manually uninstall, but everytime I tried to run the full 3.6 DL, Windows 7 (ultiimte) freezes solid. IE works, and so does Safari but I can't get Firefox to either uninstall or reinstall. Prior to manually uninstalling it, Firefox 3.6.9 would not install or update to 3.6.10. Neither 3.6.10 nor the 4.0 beta will install. These files unpack and will freeze the computer when attempting to install. Please help. I want firefox back! BTW, the same probem exists in anotherWindows 7 Ultimate computer. The problem does not exist on my two Windows 7 home premium computers. It appears unique to Win. 7 Ultimate.
