Disable Enhanced Tracking by Default
How can I (we) disable enhanced tracking so it's not loaded at all in the browser, i.e., we manually turn it on and off when needed? After this last update, some websites I visit are automatically crashing, the screen freezes, I cannot click on their navigation or products, it's become a horrible nightmare and it's not a good use of my time. I want to disable it.

You can adjust the level of protect by selecting "standard" in your settings for enhanced tracking protection. I would suggest that you use exceptions for individual websites - it is easy: click the shield icon to the right of the address bar, toggle the Enhance tracking protection for a specific website.

Thank you. I'm a web developer so there would be entirely too many websites to set up exceptions for. I just want to turn it off completely and if I needed it, then turn it on.
Ok. You can try to select settings for Enhanced Tracking protection - custom, and the uncheck all.
