Genuine as in made by Mozilla or is safe ?. The vast majority of Extensions at AMO are made by a third-party author(s) or company. The ones made by Mozilla for the Firefox web browsers will have Firefox or Mozilla as the author.

I would suggest looking at the reviews on that site to see if any concerns have been raised. At first glance it does appear to be a highly rated add-on.
