Firefox browser home screen
Firefox has just introduced wallpapers for browser home page. I cannot get it to work. It's either cropped too small or pixilated, is there a setting I need to adjust, or a particular image format? So that it looks ok.

hi Kiki. you have been super helpful, and I thank you for your input. but I'm beginning to think that the issue is or maybe related to my computer screen resolution. As I cannot seem to get the picture looking ok, not just Firefox but other programs eg: simulation games, which I have been experiencing ever the past few weeks. So having said that I am going to change screens, and play around with various settings to see if it's either Nvidia graphics card or windows OS. I'll let you know what I come up with. thanks again

Hi Ray,
I don't see any specifications from the Customize items on your Firefox New Tab page article. Can you let us know the resolution of the image you're trying to use?
Hi Thanks for you reply, Image size is 511 x 498 10002 KB 96 dpi 32 bit.
Hi Ray,
Apologies for my late reply. The team just launched a new version (v141) recently. Can you try to update and let us know if you still run into this problem?
Thanks!
Ray emailed me and I believe we have figured out the root problem here. It seems like Firefox uses object-fit:cover (reference here) for its wallpaper in the New Tab page which caused the picture the OP wanted to use to appear cropped.
We were able to fix this issue by modifying the picture to match the wallpaper ratio.
