disable use of address bar for search

I use duckduckgo page for search in Firefox. Hate my search terms hopping up to the address bar. How to stop this?

A previous search on this question came up with a solution which doesn't work, at least not with latest Firefox version (139.0.1 (64-bit).

I.e., type in searchBar "about:config"

   Accept warning
Search "browser.urlbar.suggest.searches" and change it to false (Do this Only if you want to disable suggesions)
Search "keyword.enabled" and change it to false
Search "browser.urlbar.suggest.searches" and change it to false

DOESN'T WORK.

Hello

Is it, https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/about-new-tab-page

Is it, browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.improvesearch.handoffToAwesomebar

1 - Go to Configuration Editor for Firefox https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/about-config-editor-firefox 2 - Enter a search term browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.improvesearch.handoffToAwesomebar

browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.improvesearch.handoffToAwesomebar true Then, input will be made at the top.

browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.improvesearch.handoffToAwesomebar false Then input will be made at the bottom.
