Hello Evcatre,

Here is a link to an article by MakeUseOf that explains the differences between Firefox versions: https://www.makeuseof.com/tag/different-versions-firefox/

Beta anything is the normal program plus new things the programers are trying out. This is how they can find out if there are any problems by getting others to test the program.

ok thanks, but is it true that you can't install Firefox beta on your computer? It works only on your mobile phone?

They are different channels and not a reference to a different product or such. www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/

Release < Beta < Nightly

100.0 < 101.0b# < 102.0a1

The Developers Edition is basically same as Beta but with additional developer features. The Nightly channel is more for devs and testers is mind as it gets the bleeding edge early work and checkins for updates twice a day.

The Extended Support Release or ESR channel is more for Enterprise uses in mind. It is currently based on the Firefox 91.0 Release (current is 91.9.0esr) but gets allowed stability and security updates. The next major version the ESR will be based on will be the Firefox 102.0 Release.

Beta, Developer Edition and Nightly channel builds are available for Windows, macOS, Linux and for on Android also. Not sure what you mean by most computer systems unless you are referring to the mobile iOS/iPadOS.
