Firefox 100.0 will have "Spellchecker now allows multiple language dictionaries at the same time." as it is listed in the Fx 100.0 Beta Release Notes.

So what language version of Firefox do you have installed? AFAIK when you go to download FF from mozilla.org they have specific version for different language Regions. And the Edge is most likely using Chromium engine like Chrome from google and that is probably the reason it can recognize language regions more.

?????

The poster was referring to the dictionary (language) used by spellchecker and not to the language locale of Firefox you have installed. Also only a few locales of Firefox from mozilla.org comes with a dictionary due to licensing reasons.

I'm referring to language of dictionary for the spell check, not the language of firefox (that only affect the display language).
