Here are the facts of my case, now closed as duplicate.

I just remembered that heretofore, Firefox has automatically disabled Add Ons that were amiss. Rather than action DrMoishe Pippik's bifurcation stopgap myself, can't I do nothing — and wait a week or two — if someone more technologically skillful deduces the astray Add On, and Firefox disables it?

Hi

Yes, if you wish you can do nothing. But that does not guarantee a swift resolution to the issue that you are having.

Establishing which add-on is causing the issue that you are seeing will mean you can get feedback to the add-on developer swiftly to enable them to potentially correct their software.
