Firefox Beta Microsoft Store

Great news about Firefox being added to the Microsoft Store. It seems to me that method of keeping Firefox up-to-date might be more effective than the traditional Mozilla background service. However, I use the Beta channel. Is there any chance that channel will be added to MS Store? Regardless of the version I assume that you have to completely uninstall the conventional Firefox install and lose all your about:config and other settings (anything not included in Sync).

Hello,

The beta channel will likely be added to Microsoft store as an unlisted program (for the time being to make sure that people are not confused on what to install). I do not know where the forum post that I saw this on is, but I will refind it for you.

Thanks! It looks like it isn't ready for "prime time" but good to hear it's coming. I saw the link to the MSIX installer but even it said it is buggy and I would likely have to set Windows to allow for sideloaded apps. I'll stick with my standard installer until it officially gets listed. However, it's definitely good news to see both the release added as a start, and plans for future Beta channel...some people resist Firefox because of the perceived maintenance work...i.e. you have to wait for it to find an update, and then restart the browser when you're using it. Edge and Chrome obviously have a more silent background update and I suspect Microsoft Store will enable this for Firefox.
