Lost firefox in Windows 10 problems. Had to use Microsoft for a few days. Then downloaded Firefox again. Are all my previous sites/passwords/etc. stored on my computer? How do I reload them?

Hi John, normally when you run the Firefox installer, it automatically finds your previous data folders. I'm assuming from your question that the Firefox installer did NOT find those folders and created a fresh profile instead.

Could you explain in more detail what happened with your Windows?

If you used the built-in Windows Reset/Refresh feature:

One of the options is to save your data, in which case Windows creates a temporary folder named

C:\Windows.old

Can you find such a folder on your system in you check Windows' File Explorer?

If so:

Before proceeding, please set Windows to show you hidden files and folders: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/14201/windows-show-hidden-files

Then check here:

C:\Windows.old\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\

You might just have one profile folder, or you might have more than one. Let us know what you find and we can suggest options for using these files to get your familiar Firefox data back.
