Annoying extra menu bar with same info as address bar

Why does Firefox continue updating and giving me an additional bar just below the menu bar with a tab box that shows the exact same information as the address bar?

And how do I get rid of this? The "About:Config" and setting "browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.improvesearch.handoffToAwesomebar" to "false" does nothing.

This waste of screen space is almost as annoying as all the other "fixes" that aren't wanted.

Anyone know how to turn it off?
