I wonder if there is anyone who has figured out a way to got back to a previous easier to use Firefox than this new version 89. It is so unclear where one thing starts and ends. I can't tell where my open tabs are either. It's a terrible upgrade. Don't the people working on these things have other more important features to work on? Is there anyone who can provide help and guidance?

I am using a MacBook Air 10.12.6

Thanks

However ...

I don't see the point in rearranging things just to give it a different look. I suppose I'll get used to it. I understand why sometimes things are changed to make it more secure but the new design has eliminated the very distinct separation between the tabs. They all run into each other now. And the bookmarks bar, the address bar and the tabs bar have no visual separation between them, like a simple line.

Also, I am sorry to see that the button for "copy link" is gone. That was a very useful tool. Why would they remove it?

You can try and disable proton by going to about:config and setting them all the false (see screenshot).

This preference needs to be maintained. Please do not remove it.

Such control preferences are only added because they are needed during development to make it possible to enable the feature for testing its progress or disable the feature if issues are encountered. This is a complicated feature and there are also prefs for specific parts of this feature like the context menu appearance as you can see. Once the implementation is finished and all relevant bugs have been fixed then the control prefs are removed.
