Is there a way to use older look without downgrading the whole browser to previous versions?

In my opinion the new design is an absolute eyesore. None of the themes available even resemble what I liked about Firefox. I always adored this browser for simplicity and clarity, but they completely overdid it in the current version.

Chosen solution

enter "about:config" in the searchbar. search for "browser.proton.enabled" in the new search mask and set the value to false with a double click.

if you want to change everything (context menu, etc.), just set all entries at "browser.proton" to false
