Mozilla does not respect email preferences and sends emails anyway

Today at 14:07 I changed my email preferences and unsubscribed from all email types in my Firefox account.

At 5 hours later, at 19:36 I receive an email from Mozilla with the title "Sync your bookmarks, history and logins".

So either the email preferences does not work or the email does not respect the preferences I have set. Either way it's always extremely annoying when this happens and it leaves me wondering if Mozilla takes privacy seriously.

Even worse is, I already have sync set up (which doesn't work anyway as I have written about here).

Pictures attached as "proof" for those who are in doubt.
