Sync Not Working

This morning my Sony laptop crashed. Fortunately, I have an HP that has not long been repaired under guarantee. All I have done up to today is make sure it works OK and add Mcafee security.

I am now using this and have succesfully installed several programmes including Firefox.

I have been through this process many times, having bought my first laptop in 1991. for virtually all that time I have used Firefox and always synced successfully on many occassions.

So I never thought I would have a problem today but, no matter what I have tried. I have had no success.

I take it you are signed into the same Firefox account on the new HP that you were signed in on for the Sony?

What makes you say it's not syncing? Is it that your bookmarks/passwords are not showing up? Or are you getting some kind of error when pressing the "sync now" button in the menu?

To check the sync status do this: Upper right hand corner click the Hamburger Menu (Three horizontal bars) Click your account name Third or fourth option down click "sync now"

You can open about:sync-log via the location bar to see whether recent Sync logs are available. You can upload the file to a website like Pastebin if you can't post the content of the file in a reply.
