Short Story: So basically I am a fool....I just screwed myself and told Firefox to go ahead and delete my entire Desktop folder that is now unfortunately unrecoverable.... I think? Is there hope? Long Story: So for the past few days I've been noticing that the audio from any video that I play on Youtube and other websites keeps getting cut off. My temporary fix was to hit refresh but rewinding and pausing and resuming the videos also worked. I thought it was either a Windows update (am using Windows 10 Pro) or something was wrong with the audio hardware/software on my computer. Lo and behold, it was actually Firefox because the audio was fine on both Chrome and on Microsoft Edge. Decided to do a quick Google search for a solution and someone suggested to create a new profile using about:profiles in the url. So I did, and being the fool that I am, I went ahead and decided the location of the new profile to be on my Desktop. So I opened Firefox with the new profile and it fixed the issue. The audio on every video that I played was finally working as it should. But then I decided to go back to the old profile to see if the audio was still working and it was for some strange unknown reason, so I went ahead and deleted the new profile I created and I also accidentally deleted all the files and folders that was on my Desktop..... It even gave me a warning that I chose to ignore, silly me. I did not know that Firefox was capable of bypassing the Recycle Bin and deleting files on hard drives, this is shocking! I used the Easeus Data Recovery Wizard and it did not find anything except for old files that were already deleted a long time ago. I even checked the Recycle Bin to no avail. Thanks for any help but I feel I am at a lost.....
